This. Hopefully they play last so can I leave before they pollute the stage.

I want to see Dying Fetus play a long set. I've seen them 4 times but the longest I've seen them play is maybe 40 minutes. So I'd definitely go to this.

Six Feet Under isn't going to break up. Hell, almost all the guys from Chimaira left the band to join Six Feet Under.

Wait - I just remembered SFU can't go to Canada. So this will probably skip Montreal, unfortunately. US/Canada customs policies are a joke when it comes to allowing folks in. A simple arrest can prohibit someone for crossing the border for up to 5 years. But hey, that's a whole different discussion.

Maybe DF and Revocation will play Montreal sans SFU.

I'm so tired of people starting a thread about a tour, then only saying "There's a show here..." with no other dates.

I'd go to this in a heartbeat.

Though last time I saw SFU they sounded horrible. Barnes makes the worst noises ever that even the PA couldn't take it. Not a fan of them live.

SFU is one of the few bands I like that I've never seen. I agree though. Barnes sounds awful live. His voice has gotten so rough he even sounds like shit on their last few albums. I thought he sounded Ok on '13' (2005 - great album BTW), but shitty on every one since.

Hmmm. I'm down to see DF and Revocation then leave. Seriously, SFU is horrible.

I'd def go to this. I know SFU has released a lot of shit, but I enjoy Maximum Violence and the last couple of albums were cool too. The first two are decent and the rest sucks dick.

They were good at SS. Sure his screeches were really unnecessary at some parts but there were parts when it sounded awesome

There was nothing awesome about Six Feet Under at Summer Slaughter. When you get outplayed by Oceano, you know you have some serious fucking problems.

SFU was my least favorite band at SS and I have SFU's "Death Ritual" cd and thats good but Barnes is just horrible sounding.

Although I'm guessing SFU will play last / headline?

>he thinks that's what that song is actually about

It's about not wanting to tone down their lyrics and image just to get more popular.

Here are the (amazingly well-written) lyrics, from M-A:

KILL YOUR MOTHER AND RAPE YOUR DOG

fuck these corporations and their fucking record stores
I don't want my fucking paycheck feeding money whores
these fuckers flood the market with their fabricated shit and laugh as this pathetic fucking music gets them rich

stay the fuck right out of my life
I don't need your fucking advice
you don't even know what our shit is all about?
so don't even try to figure it out

fuck your Spice Girls and your fucking Pearl Jam
it's all a bunch of shit, I say fuck it
Fuck your Dave Matthews and your fucking REM
you god-damned bitch, fucking clueless

KILL YOUR MOTHER AND RAPE YOUR DOG

Bummer, nothing near me. Maybe a road trip to NYC.

As a side note, for those of you who didn't read the Metalliance Montreal show thread, Sean told my buddy they are playing Montreal again in October. SO hopefully that means a headliner!

Found out I have the Chicago date off so if I can get a car to use to drive to the venue I'll go.

Would take public transportation but it's one the farthest venues from it and that would require like 2 trains and 4 buses each way.

Jesus, fuck....that's complicated.

Getting there from Dekalb is the easiest...I just get on 88 in Dekalb and then turn on State Street once I get in Chicago. :D
