Mastodon will release a limited edition 7" vinyl in baby pink for Record Store Day, which launches on 4/21. The A-side will feature the original Flaming Lips classic "A Spoonful Weighs a Ton", which Mastodon covers on the B-side. This will ONLY be available at selected indie retail stores. To find the nearest store, head over to http://www.recordstoreday.com/Venues

oh my god, that is literally one of the greatest things I've ever heard in my life. I can't wait to hear this.

Here's the Original (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVsyJtCsqeA)

I can't wait to see how heavy Mastodon makes this.

P.S.: If you don't own this Flaming Lips album yet, get it. One of the best 90s albums.

they both are

“Mastodon / Feist “A Commotion“/ “Black Tongue” (7″ vinyl single):
A very exclusive and highly anticipated RSD pressing features Mastodon covering the Feist song “A Commotion,” while Feist covers Mastodon‘s “Black Tongue.” A unique and highly buzzed-about Record Store Day prize.

I'm strongly considering picking this up. Can't wait to see what Reckless has in general that day.
