Do you see that Jason wasn't happy anymore?

Definately.

Not as bad as the VH1 performance in November of that year. You could have guessed that was his last performance.

Oh yes, that was his very last appearance, but not a full show. ;)

Well, as an aspiring bassist myself: Robert is better. Sorry. :bliss:

I've always preferred Jason, but I respect your opinion.

Speaking from a pure playing standpoint, yeah Robert is better. Jason was a much better fit for Metallica though and a way better live presence.

This. Rob is great and has a great stage presence but Jason was the man for Metallica.

Make no mistake, I regret not seeing them with Jason. I became a fan 2,5 years before he left.

But yes, I was talking about playing skills.

What the hell is "Mastertarium?" Some type of medley? I wasn't really keeping up with them during that period so this may be a dumb question.

It's just a combination of Master of Puppets and Welcome Home (Sanitarium)

It's dumb, because as an "old skool onlie" fan you should know those songs...

It's a dumb way to format a medley.

In his post he asked if it was a medley, so obviously he knew the songs.

What's so different abou Jason in that performance? I've seen it a couple of times, and he doesn't look out of the ordinary.

Just doesn't seem himself. Kind of indifferent, apathetic.

Well, yeah, I kind of figured, but that's a dumbass medley. I thought it could have been just a bunch of songs from Master, not necessarily those two songs specifically.

I actually like the Kill/Ride medley that they played a lot around 96 97 ish.

The Kill/Ride was cool indeed, James' announcements were too  "Who's got Kill 'Em All???" "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide The Lightning???"

Still, it's a shame they didn't play more full songs from that era during 1996-2000.
