I swear that whenever a tour has a substantial amount of Canadian dates, everyone calls it a "USA" tour. And then the same motherfuckers insist on calling USA-only tours "North American" tours.

Marduk and WEAPON in June though!

I get Marduk in May with Vader, Kataklysm, and Heaven Shall Burn. So much better than this lineup.

That's a stellar line-up but I don't want to miss work to see Marduk again. I did that last May.

Have never listened to them actually, but a friend of mine loves them, and Marduk/Vader/HSB are tits.

Exactly. Do they get bigger crowds in Canada then here in the US?

I'm sure it depends on the bands/cities involved, but some of the comments on this board make me think that this might be true (and I'm of course not biased in any way by being Canadian).

This tour is booked to play an 800-capacity venue in Vancouver and will probably fill it up pretty nicely.

The venue in Calgary holds 500 people and the one in Regina holds just over 230. I don't know how that compares to US cities of similar sizes though, or what the actual turnout will be, but I imagine they will indeed fill up nicely on most of these dates here.

The Toronto venue is about 200-300, one of the smaller venues. But Marduk played their last year and it was full. If you ask me this line-up is a little more solid that then last (I'm not a fan of Aura Noir and no one really knows Black Anvil) so I'm surprised that it's not at a larger venue. But the next biggest is probably the Opera House and it's about 800 capacity. I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason. The place they're playing in Toronto is awesome.

Is this crazy deja-vu? Marduk plays Music Hall of Williamsburg on June 3, 2011, and now they are doing the same venue on the same date one year later.

Weird.

Just a drummer? Come on, Guy.

I admit I'm sad about Frost not being able to make the tour, but Jon is a hell of a drummer. He can pull off 1349 like Frost, I don't think people will bitch anymore.

I think Satyricon has two albums better than anything 1349 has done, but 1349 is the better band overall.

1349 was amazing. Jon Rice sounded just like Frost on drums. They were the best band of the Night. Marduk really didn't do as much for me as I was hoping. It started to all sound the same after a while.
