Went to Rochester last night to see Shadows Fall at The Montage Music Hall, it's about an hour and a half from Buffalo. it was great. This was the first night of four warm-up shows for Shadows Fall. Local bands Fleshburn, Order Of The Dead and Hate Machine opend. I missed Fleshburn. Saw Order Of The Dead, didn't impress me, Hate Machine was good. Shadows fall did a song I think it's called Fire From The Sky. Brain Fair said that the new album will be out in May, excited for that one. Here's the setlist.

1. My Demise :horns::rocker:
2. Thoughts Without Words
3. Enlightened by the Cold
4. Burning The Lives
5. Stepping Outside the Circle:rocker:
6. Still I Rise
7. The Power of I and I
8. Fire From The Sky(New Song):horns:
9. King of Nothing :horns:
10. What Drives the Weak
11. Inspiration on Demand
12. Destroyer of Senses :rocker:
13. The Light That Blinds :rocker:
14. Redemption

I'm glad to see Thoughts Without Words being played so early in the set. Stepping Outside The Circle is also an amazing song on CD and to hear live. Overall, I would love to hear this set. Lucky bastard!

Sick setlist.

Met their drummer a few months ago, he's such a nice down to earth and friendly guy.

Really good set. I probably should've gone to this show but since they usually play here, I figured i'll get the chance to see them when the new album comes out.

Burning The Lives is a cool surprise. I don't think that's one of their set regulars.

I'm looking forward to hearing their new stuff. They were always a band that I wanted to get into, but never really gave them the chance they deserve. Meh such a shame seeing a lot of the early-mid 2000's metalcore bands going under the radar.

I think Shadows Fall actually prefers to go under the radar. The had some good success with The Art Of Balnce, The War Within and Threads Of Life. But for their last album they released it on their own label. I get the impression they just wanna do their own thing now and not be pressured by what the big record companies want.

That's what I think. I mean if they really wanted they could hit it big again and do club headlining shows or even get support for a big band.

No "War" = dissapoint. Aside from that, great setlist.

They also made A LOT more money on CD royalties by releasing it themselves. They had it set up so that they were getting paid first as opposed to last when the CD money comes in, or something. Good for them.

Loved when I saw these guys in 2008. Stepping is such an awesome live song, but I also got to see "Of One Blood" and "Crushing Belial".

After this tour, they are touring with Fear Factory in April/May
