"2nd leg of the North America tour in May! Tour dates will follow ASAP!"

They probably won't come back here but one can always hope!

Now if only Sodom could tour North America...

Well, the Pestilence show was kick ass, plus I hope I can actually see Destruction this time.

THIS IS THE GREATEST THING EVER!!

I've never seen Destruction or Warbringer and Pathology is great. The fact that it's in May means 1) I'm not in school, and 2) unless it's within the first 5 days of May, I won't miss it due to it being 19+.

This needs to come to Toronto.

If this is some kind of B-market tour they probably are going to stop by Toronto since they didn't last time around.

I'm hoping for at least a Quebec City date!

I could probably travel, but I'd prefer to stay in Toronto. Maybe it will come to London or Hamilton instead.

hey hey hey, I had a great fucking time at that tour. Pestilence rocked, Warbringer brought the war, Vital Remains set was too fucking short TOO FUCKING SHORT, and the turn out was abysmal. I think there was only like 30 people there, with the first 10 people being in the front, and the rest being ALL THE WAAAAAAAAYYY in the back. It got to the point where John from Warbringer had to keep telling people in the back to stop being pussies and come in the front. :rocker:

I havent' seen Destruction since that show they did at the Chain Reaction back in 2009. The one where Mike got his guitar jacked. Wouldn't mind seeing them again, maybe they'll not get their guitars stolen this time around and I can hear a Long set instead of seeing them dish out 13 songs and book it(they were suppose to be play like 20 songs I believe). :hmm:

I believe Krisiun and a couple of other bands opened up at our show. :rocker:

I'm not saying the Pestilence show was bad, it was awesome. It's just that they're putting almost the exact same lineup on another tour 2 years later, they could really do better. Watch as Vital Remains plays the same 4 songs as they've been doing for the past 4 years now...

kalfitegrdan
01-25-2012, 01:47 PM
Vital always put on such an amazing show though, despite only playing a couple songs. I've seen them like four times and every time was like sensory overload amazing. Dechristianize is always phenomenal and whichever rotation of Devoured Elysium, Icons of Evil, Saviour to None...Failure to All and Hammer Down the Nails is great. That being said, I can't wait to finally see Destruction:rocker:, was so pissed that I had to miss them last year due to lack of money and finals.

Nah, I moved from the area when I was like 12. I'd imagine it would be the size of the Key Club or the Whisky though. Bands that play the Coach House seem to hit up one of the sunset clubs while they're at it.

Does this whole "30th anniversary" and "thrash metal history/ classic hits and anthems" thing mean they'll be focusing on, say, the first three albums, ya think?

Seems pointless to visit Southern California three separate times. I'm tempted to hit up both of the shows near me though!

The Oakland Metro show just finished up a few hours ago. ManDown Productions, the same guy who is putting on "Bay Area Metal Fest," was the promoter for this show and also the show at the Avalon in Santa Clara in about a week. I wonder if they plan on canceling the Santa Clara date given what just happened?

I think what happened was this, but this is a bit of speculation on my part. Destruction's lighting guy bailed a few days ago according to their Facebook, ManDown probably offered a guy to help out, and the band thought that they'd provide a lighting rig as well. That obviously didn't happen, hence the fiasco.

Waits. So is this legit? Are they really not coming back. If thats the case then I could some how possibly make some room to see them, in either Los angeles, Orange, or the other three stops that they are hitting around my area. So random and abrupt that they are gonna stop now, they could have released this info at least a few months prior to releasing dates and hyping up the tour(unless this LAST CHANCE fiasco is all just a pile of hog wash). Oh well, glad I got to see them at least once, but I wouldn't mind seeing them again.

I doubt it will really be their last time here. They're probably just pissed about the Oakland show and other stuff that has happened. The Salt Lake City show was cancelled (so they had to drive from Corona to Denver) and Pathology has dropped off the tour.

The LA and Ramona shows are the only ones left around here though.

I've heard some less than great things about Schmier's attitude towards playing and I would not be surprised if it is their last tour. I probably is their last tour for quite a while and I'm just really happy that I decided in the last few days before their show to see them.

When I saw them on the tour with Heathen a couple years back he spent about half the set bitching how the Church of Boston is a shitty venue and this and that. Mind you it wasn't a great place and the equipment kept cutting on them but ya gotta roll with it sometimes

Waits. So is this legit? Are they really not coming back. If thats the case then I could some how possibly make some room to see them, in either Los angeles, Orange, or the other three stops that they are hitting around my area. They already made two of the three stops they are going to make. LA is pretty much your last chance to see them.

Weird. Destruction always seem to praise the venues and promoters/staff up here. Last time they even made sure to salute the sound guy. Didn't realize what kind of stupid shit they went through on some smaller American markets. Hope they keep coming up here.
