They're rumored to be headlining the second day.

Dez's (Black Flag) band DC3 will be opening up the 15th.

I remember a good while back finding out that Possessed wouldn't be playing but I could be wrong. I can't encourage everyone in the bay enough to go to this, Tidal Wave 2010 was so much fun. The bands were great, the food was pretty damn good, and best of all - IT'S FREE. Also buying evil cookies from Gary Holt was the most random yet awesome experience ever.

So here's the running order:

Saturday, July 14th:

Huntress
Dreaming Dead
Skitzo/Abrupt/Hellfire/Spiral Arms (Order hasn't been decided yet)
Paranoid Freak Out

Sunday, July 15th:

Ghoul (Headliners)
Morta Skuld
Peligro (band fronted by former Dead Kennedys frontman D.H. Peligro)
Haunted By Heroes
Beercraft
DC3

There's a headliner TBA for Saturday as well as one more band TBA for Sunday. Unless the Saturday headliner completely :wow:'s me I doubt I'll be going that day, I'm really only hoping to catch Ghoul and Morta Skuld.

Brutal and Slap, I know that Sunday has the overall better lineup, but you honestly won't lose anything by attending on Saturday as well. It's live quality metal (Tonus, the God-like organizer of the fest, actually has really awesome taste- you can trust him on the bands you haven't heard of) and again, it's free! Not to mention, Hellfire, one of the Saturday bands is one of the best classic metal/neo-thrash groups I've heard yet. Lastly, expect a pretty awesome Saturday headliner, last year they had Raven for Saturday and in 08 they had Exodus and Hirax back to back. Sure it might not be Possessed or Death Angel like they originally wanted, but chances are it'll be a badass bay area band.

There's also the fact that it's from noon till 6. Meaning if there's another show that night you can easily get there from SF. And besides, do you guys actually have plans for that Saturday afternoon? ;)

Really? You wouldn't pay nothing to see Ghoul?

Slough Feg confirmed for Sunday.

I hope everybody realizes this is Morta Skuld's second show since 1980; the first (their reunion show) is happening in Wisconsin in a few weeks.

EDIT: Encyclopedia Metallum says Morta Skuld were formed in 1990, which would mean that going by this poster (https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/s720x720/422321_298331176896427_143681135694766_814553_4315 40108_n.jpg) for their reunion show, they haven't played any shows since 1990, or haven't played any shows ever.

Lastly, expect a pretty awesome Saturday headliner, last year they had Raven for Saturday and in 08 they had Exodus and Hirax back to back. Sure it might not be Possessed or Death Angel like they originally wanted, but chances are it'll be a badass bay area band.

Huntress are headlining Saturday - not my idea of a pretty awesome headliner :hecho:

Yeah, that's pretty odd. Sunday seems a little too stacked for the festival's own good. But whatever, getting to finally see Slough Feg will be great. They normally only play 21+ venues in the bay area.

They posted on facebook that Morta Skuld can't do it, and they are being replaced by GRAVEHILL

Oh, I thought it was 12-7.

It doesn't feel right if I get home from a show before midnight.

So guys, the show's kickstarter campaign is up and running and can be found here.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/metalvision/creating-the-annual-tidal-wave-music-festival-d-i

I actually designed a bit of the page- the "Our Story" part was mostly written by myself with an intro and all the tech details filled in by Tonus, the promoter of the show. Hopefully enough money will be raised to put the show on! :D
