This usually looks somewhat interesting to me, but I always seem to end up either having a schedule conflict or a not-quite-enough-awesome-on-the-bill-to-justify-the-trip conflict. SO as others have said, we'll have to see who's on it.

When is the lineup typically announced?

If I remember correctly, a lot of the bands were announced in Feburary or March.

Hopefully Beheaded is on this. They are planning a north american tour this year so maybe they are basing it around CIM?

Really? It's one of the bigger...well, maybe not bigger, but more well-known...fests in the US. I think this is something like its 9th year?

Not an insanely amazing lineup every year like MDF, but still pretty solid. One year they got Impetigo to reunite, but then the next they had like Goatwhore and Anal Cunt headline. :lol:

It's $150 round trip. So I'll have to see how money is when I make the decision about going to see Metallica. It's a big maybe at this point. How many more bands are going to be announced?

They've been saying something like 25 bands total, so like 7-8 more? Maybe more for a prefest.

I hope Carnal Decay gets confirmed for this. I could see it happening because they're playing Minnesota Murderfest and Las Vegas Deathfest with a few of the other bands that are on this. I'm definitely going if they do...already most likely will because Monstrosity is playing.

Not gonna be able to go this year. But me and a friend are going to make the voyage next year for it. Just do a week long trip. Hit up the fest and go to chicago for a day or 2.

all i can say is the 25th and final band announced for the fest this year will be the first time this set has ever happened and the ONLY time it will ever happen is at the CIM this year .....i will not confirm or deny any quesses even if correct ....just have to wait till 25th band is announced!!!

This could actually make sense as Lord Worm did a couple of songs with Cryptopsy at Heavy MTL last summer. I could see this happening as an exclusive set.

The last band was a "Supergroup" doing a one-time show paying tribute to Lividity and performing "The Age of Clitoral Decay" in its entirety.
