Adrian has a side project called The Primal Rock Rebellion
http://www.ironmaiden.com/index.php?categoryid=8&p2_articleid=1282

but I cannot believe it's about that.

Since when do they start teasing us with side project, past members or fucking what not. I really think that for a tease like that it has to be a Maiden related news, and pretty big (tour news (maybe even dates) \ album or dvd release)

Cheers !

looks like all this commotion is indeed for Adrian side project like this new tweet tends to proove: Its not a tour announcement and its not a DVD announcement either. It will be something brought to you by the letter H....

fucking lame on their part if you ask me to tease us like that for a non Maiden related news

Cheers !

Now I've lost interest. The earlier announcement of Adrian's side project was announced without fanfare. Nicko's drum clinic, Lauren Harris, Rise to remain. All announced with no fanfare. Guess I'll be with Van Halen after all.

Wow, who cares.

Wow, who cares.

This is how I feel, but in regards to the original intent of the topic as well. Seriously, I just don't care about "forthcoming news" or "countdowns to announcements", and all the fanboy speculation that goes on with them. It pisses me off that Maiden can't just DO anything anymore, they need to have a week-long promotional campaign to prepare the world for the announcement.

I like that they do that actually. Gives me time to whore myself out for tour money.

Maiden are on Twitter?

They have been for a long time. What band isn't on Twitter these days?

This. When they're like "OKAY HERE'S TOUR DATES" and I don't have the money for the seats I'd like, I get bummed.

No tour announcement? Bummer, at least now I won't have to have my girlfriend buy my tickets while I'm in India.

Couldn't tell you. It's pointless bullshit and I've never paid attention to it.

I hate it, but maybe that's because the latter is never a problem. I don't need to make that much effort at the whoring ;)

How much of a difference does it really make if they give you an extra 2-3 days to put money together? It's not gonna be enough time to get another paycheck or anything, so if you're gonna have to borrow money or take it out of savings - how does it change?

From what I remember, they tease us for a few days before releasing the dates, which go on sale about a week after. Gives me enough time.

Well this of all things could have skipped the 'hype' announcement. Considering it's not even Maiden related.

So it's a single from Adrian's band?

Travis The Dragon

1st off, I think it's a great song and shows a very unique and different style of Adrian's playing. I'm loving it!

2nd off, the reason I believe they hyped it so much is because past Maiden member side projects have never done that well because many Maiden fans aren't aware of them. It's nice to see one of them finally get some good recognition like this. I really hope it does well.

I guess I van understand that. Bruce'a solo career is the only one that took off.

I love Adrian Smith - but that was terrible, bordering on unbearably bad. Wow, I'm honestly ashamed that he's attached to something that bad.

I like Adrian doing different styles but that song was really boring in my opinion. Didn't like the singing but I admit the style could be a grower... if the song was actually good. Meh.
