I wasn't a hardcore fan of them or anything, but still very sad to hear another metal musician passing. R.I.P. =(

Really sad to hear I had been listening to them recently always knew of them but just more recently started to really listen to them. Far too young

Holy fuck! I played a show with that guy in like, 2002. That's really really fucking sad. I was never a big fan of Woods, but the guy had a vision. Same age as me too, this is going to fuck with me for a while. RIP David.

Was just discussing this with someone on Facebook. Tragic man, the band finally start getting a break and now this happens. The dude had a genuine love for what he was doing, and as Gordo pointed out, a great vision for his music, now that vision will never be fully realized.

I was never a huge fan but this is still sad regardless. I really enjoyed the first EP Against the Seasons, which I think he just played drums on.

This sucks. I only recently heard their music, it's pretty good, definitely worth checking out.

Man, this is almost as crushing to me as Dio's death was. Woods of Ypres got me through a very tough time a couple Springs ago, and when they finally toured the US this year I was extremely sick and had to miss it.
