5. Blink-182- Neighborhoods

With the amount of hype that this album had around here, I figured it was going to be good because it's Blink-182. I was wrong. The only bad album they've released since 1993's "Buddha". The ONLY redeeming factor of this album is the vocals. Let's hope the next one is better.

4. Chevelle- Hats Off To The Bull

When I heard the first single off of this album "Face To The Floor" I instantly recognized that this would be one of the heaviest Chevelle albums to date. Unfortunately that is the only good song on this album. Chevelle has tried to go in a heavier direction that worked but while they were focused on it being heavy they weren't as focused on the musicianship and that's where this album has failed me. It's a shame i had high hopes for this one too.

3. We Came As Romans- Understanding What We've Grown To Be

To be honest this was my most anticipated album for this year and it was a huge step-down from "To Plant A Seed". This album as a whole was very sub-par. Hopefully the next album from these post-hardcore giants will be as good as the first album.

2. Morbid Angel- Illud Divinum Insanus

With Trivium being my #1 favorite band I was a hardcore fanboy when this album was announced. Then the single "In Waves" was released... my expectations significantly lowered. Then "Built To Fall" was released and my expectations for a good album were gone. There are a couple mediocre songs on here but nothing to redeem this and make it album of the year as i had originally planned it to be.

10. Godsmack

All i've heard for years was how they put on one of the best shows. So i said fuck it at Mayhem Fest and stuck around to watch them. God dammit they were bad. The sound was bad (was not the venue), Sully sounded like a whiny bitch. They basically just stood there. There are only 2 good things about them. 1. The drum battle. 2. The fact that Shannon Larkin is from my hometown.

9. Disturbed

When i saw them at Uproar in '10 i was blown away. not this time. Everything about this performance sucked. It was the same stage show, same songs for the most part, and the same tired screaming. You would have thought for their last U.S. tour before the Hiatus would have been re-vamped, old cuts would have been pulled out. But that was not the case. After that performance i hope they don't come back around.

Dammit i hate this fucking band. The only reason why these guys aren't the #1 worst band i saw this year is because Hollywood Undead went on after them which lessened the suck because Hollywood Undead is awesome live IMO.

the umpteenth time i've seen them and they've gotten progressively worse with each performance. It seems as though they don't even give a fuck that they have millions upon millions of fans. "This Is Exile" was one of the first metal albums i bought and i loved the heaviness and lyrical content. Fuck you whitechapel.

TATTOO'S AND PIERCING WILL NOT CAUSE YOU TO GET INTO HELL! those were the first words they uttered when they came onto the stage which commenced a full on breakdown. Throughout the whole set they kept talking about the bible and christianity bullshit. The absolute only thing that this band has done right is a cover of Katy Perry's "Firework" that wasnt bad. After their set was over their vocalist went on an evangelical speech for about 5 minutes.

Henchmen Ride and More Than Meets The Eye are my 2 favorite Testament songs and to hear them live back to back was pure unadulterated amazing. And to be staring in Alex Skolnick in the eyes while he's killing a solo was just epic.

God damn do these guys put on a great show. When you're at, as has been said here, perfect dick sucking level to a really good band such as this and screaming words into the mic it's a great experience and i truly look forward to seeing them again in the near future.


3. Darkest Hour

Every time I see Darkest Hour they steal the show. To take the show away from the Headliner is a great thing. This band is one that got me into metalcore and they have never failed to impress me with anything to do. I'm very excited to see them again in February with Machine Head.

Never in a festival setting has a band blown me away like Machine Head did this year at Mayhem Fest. Bodies upon bodies climbing over each other to try and get closer packed in like sardines and getting crushed by the rail and the people behind you while screaming the lyrics to "Halo" is truly an experience i will never forget as one of the best shows bands i've ever seen live. I hope their performance is just as good if not better in February.

FUCKING SHIT I LOVE THIS BAND! When the acoustic outro to "Claws In So Deep" started playing over the P.A. I knew I was going to get a great show from them. And i got way more than expected. One of, if not, the best bands I've ever seen live. From the vocals to the guitar work to the drumming, everything about these thrashers are amazing. Screaming every word to every song. Banging my head like crazy. It was just a truly amazing experience. I'm saddened that they had such a short set for being the openers of the show. Almost every time one of the members came over to the part of the stage i was in front of they would point me out and shit. When their set was over Mark Osegueda looked right at me grabbed the setlist shot the horns at me and handed me the setlist. To say that I look forward to their next Headlining tour is a complete understatement.

Here it is. I was surprised people on here were fans of them let alone someone else's #1. 20 minutes of non-stop in your face greatness. I got into this band a couple months ago. And they have quickly taken a spot as one of my favorite bands. Everything about this album from the musicianship to the lyricism is amazing. Someone asked me earlier this week to suggest some new bands for them to listen to and Touché Amoré was the first band i told them about. This is a great band and i hope to see them live and hear more from them soon. Every track is phenomenal. There's really nothing else i can say that Manks hasn't already.
