Was excited about this show as never seen def leppard (one of a few bands still left to see). Seen Motley crue a few times and not too bothered about them and steel panther are awesome, i've seen them many times.
Venue Wembley
Doors 17:30
Steel Panther - 18:30 - 19:05
In The Future
1.Supersonic Sex Machine
2.Tomorrow Night
3.Asian Hooker
4.Just Like Tiger Woods
5.Guitar Solo (included bit of eruption)
6.Gold-Digging Whore
7.Community Property
8.17 Girls In A Row
9.Death to all but Metal
Didn't disappoint at all, great band to open this show. Was a little apprehensive as i thought the new album wasn't as good as their first but sounds so much better live. Also the last couple of times i saw them play they kept repeating their jokes, but came up with some newer material.
Also during Death to all but metal they sang; "wher is Def leppard, where is motley crue, waiting backstage, ready to rock for you" (or something along those lines)
Motley Crue - 19:30 - 20:55
1.Wild Side
2.Saints of Los Angeles
3.Live Wire
4.Shout at the Devil
5.Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)
6.Primal Scream
7.Home Sweet Home
8.Looks That Kill
9.Drum Solo
10.Guitar Solo
11.Dr. Feelgood
12.Mutherfucker of the Year
13.Girls, Girls, Girls
14.Smokin' In The Boys Room
(Brownsville Station cover)
15.Kickstart My Heart
Dont want to go into a rant about these cos the crowd went crazy for these, but I just cant stand them, thought it might be different as ive only seen them outside at a couple of festivals, but thought in an arena they might be better.
They had a good production set up; pyrothecnics, drum roller coaster etc but they are just so untalented as musicians (IMO). Never seen the hype with motley crue...i know they were at the start of the scene - 80's sunset strip, dont mind a couple of songs, but lyrics are shit, riffs are shit, attitude is shit.
Drum solo lasted for around 5 mins - he just played his drums to some shitty drum and bass, thought the Def leppard drummer done a better 3 min solo with just 1 hand lol.
Guitar solo sounded like shit too. Anyway sorry for slagging these off so much.
Def leppard - 21:30 - 23:00
1.Undefeated
2.Rocket
3.Action
(Sweet cover)
4.Let It Go
5.C'mon C'mon
6.When Love and Hate Collide
7.Women
8.Two Steps Behind
(Acoustic)
9.Bringin' on the Heartbreak
(Acoustic Intro)
10.Switch 625
11.Hysteria
12.Animal
13.Armageddon It
14.Photograph
15.Pour Some Sugar on Me
Encore:
16.Love Bites
17.Let's Get Rocked
Def leppard were awesome, dunno how they keep going (mentioned they going to tour again and release a new album). Very satisfied with the set but wish they could've played made love like a man and foolin'
Would like to see these again and on the whole, was a great gig.
