I'm gonna start with the disapointing albums first

http://musicremedy.com/webfiles/artists/EyesSetToKill/Eyes-Set-To-Kill-cover-11686.jpg
Eyes Set to kill are really a solid band and love the first 3 albums equally but White Lotus was a huge disappointment. It seems Alexia is ruining out of ideas and the music just feels like no effort was put into the album.

I loved Blooddrunk and I was looking foreword when I heard they were recording a new album. but really 9 songs? not only is the album to short. but there was really nothing special going on here. and the song titles pissed me off. Alexi also keeps repeating the same riffs throughout the entire CD.

There are some great tracks on this CD but musically it just seems to blend in with "Sandwhich" and there are to many filler tracks.

AND THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT GOES TO

I've been a fan since I 1st heard "Not All who wonder are lost" on the radio. it was something different for me and Dez is a great vocalist. I loved TLKW and PFV so I was really excited when I heard about Beast. but I was so disappointed. I consider PFV to be a right direction for the band to go in. But the album seems to be one long song. Dez's vocals just seemed lacking and repetitive. there was only 1 track that stood out though

14. Lend Myself To The Night

will post Honorable mentions later .

People give FFDP alot of crap I don't know why they put on a great show and I met most of the members they were all really cool and down to earth and actually enjoyed hanging out with fans.
the album does have a few great tracks. but then there are a few meh tracks. I don't have a problem for them going more melodic but I just don't listen to this album much. to me The Way of the fist will always be their best album.

I might get alot of crap for this but I really enjoyed this CD. Danny is a far better singer then Duece. the lyrics are a step up from Swan songs. And only 2 songs about partying. I hate hip-hop and rap but this CD offers something different with a blend of rock.

Ettore Rigotti is a genius when it comes to producing. mixing melodic death metal with miyazaki movie soundtracks It just sounds perfect. there are about 4 different bands on the CD which makes each song sound unique. any miyazaki fan should check it out.

I love this cover art all they need to do is now make an anime series based on it. I love Jpop and metal and this band does an outstanding job combining both. the album is produced and mixed by Ettore Rigotti which makes it sound even better . I liked this album a lot, but the clean male vocals kinda killed it for me. I think it would have been way better if it were just the chick and the harsh vocals guy. Still, it's a pretty good album.

I am gonna go on record and just say I HATE mainstream pop music its all uninspired and unoriginal. But LIGHTS is a different is a story. She plays her own instruments. writes her own lyrics which have nothing to do with clubs, sex, and drinking. the only that sucks is there is a rapper on 2 songs and he just ruins them. She doesn't over use auto and sound like R2D2. overall a very good CD.

Got to give these guys credit with the bonus tracks the album is hella long. I first heard Dehumanized on facebook I was a little worried I didn't like the track at all. but when I heard the rest of the album I was blown away I think this album is way more epic then Paradise Lost.

When I heard they were gonna ditch their theatrical Symphonic sound I was very worried. I didn't like Faster that much and consider it to be the weakest track they have made in a long time. But was I wrong apart from Faster I love every track on this CD. there is still a symphonic sound in the CD. I still can't decide if I like it more then The Heart of everything. Also the Concept of the Unforgiving is very interesting.

I wish this CD would come out sooner in the US so I can buy it. Nightwish have outdone themselves on this CD. There is so much going on every track its like a music theater. Anette has vastly improved her singing on this CD. I liked Dark Passion play but there were a few tracks that were just not that good. But Every track is amazing and different on Imaginaerum. I can't wait for the movie.

I am a huge fan of old school Sonic Syndicate. Everyone knows We rule the night was total bullshit even Richard has said he regrets ever putting his vocals on that Cd. so After he left he formed the Unguided With Roger guitarist of Sonic Syndicate and Former SS vocalist Roland. I was so excited. because I fucking hated the new direction Sonic was going. There music helped me get past some rough times in my personal life so their 1st 3 Cds will always hold a special place for me. now back to the Unguided. this CD is Rich's vision what sonic should have been. its great to hear Rich and Roland sing together again. what makes this CD different is there are guitar solos done by Roland. and the most epic solo is found on Pathfinder. Synths are used more on this CD since SS's Eden Fire album. the Synths were produced by Pontus from Dead By April and I always liked their synth work. the lyrics were written by Rich and he is still on top of his game.
scoot the fuck over Sonic Syndicate and make way for The Unguided
