Well, both beers are considered English, the Iron Maiden being an ESB and the Sword being a EPA. The Trooper has an interesting almost citrus taste going on but it isn't a mind-blowing amazing beer. If you like Pale Ales I found the Iron Swan to be really tasty and very drinkable and it's not too hoppy. But at $6 for a 16.9 oz bottle for The Trooper vs $8 for a six pack of Iron Swan, I'll certainly be drinking more of The Sword's beer.

Interesting. Never sampled an ESB, but I don't mind EPA's. I'd like to try it if I come across it.

It's probably the best Arizona drink after the Black & White tea, IMO. :)

Had me a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Sierra Nevada Kellerweis Hefeweizen as a post death week reward. Coupled the beers with viewings of The Departed and Team America. Solid Thursday night for me.

I'm going to try swear off beer until football season (NFL). Who wants to place bets on how long I last?

That said, does Rye have lots of calories and fat?
