Wow, that setlist blows, I thought they would of had at least 6 - 8 more songs due to fact Mustaine loves Argentina.

Opening acts are the only reason I've seen Megadeth in the last decade.

Trust = bad song when played later in set
Trust = worse song when used as the opener

HEY DON'T COME TO GIGANTOUR EVERYBODY

More of a confirmation that Gigantour will officially be a Filler Sandwich in between Lemmy Godmeister's sexfests.

Decided I'm probably going to the Milwaukee Gigantour date on February 12, 2012. It will be my first Megadeth concert.

It's good to see that BOTH Holy Wars and A Tout Le Monde are in this set. I know a lot of people will ask, what's so special about that since they are both concert staples? But last summer, A Tout Le Monde was starting to be dropped out of some of the Mayhem shows. So this setlist isn't totally bad in my opinion, but it would be cool if they added Tornado Of Souls and at least one song from United Abominations for Gigantour. I'm actually surprised there's not as many songs off the new album.

I doubt any song from United Abominations will be played in the near future.

Was this a true headline set or what?

You're probably right, but there's always room to hope. I really hope they don't turn A Tout Le Monde into a live duet between Dave and Christina Scabbia since Lacuna Coil going to be one of the opening bands this time on Gigantour. UA is one of my favorite Megadeth albums and the duet isn't bad by any means, but it's not even close to being as good as the original. I guess I kind of consider it as a bonus to the album, not actually part of it. Whenever someone says A Tout Le Monde I think of it coming from Youthanasia. I do hope they play the original though when I see them.

I want to go to Gigantour but only because it's at the casino. I miss when Megadeth played awesome sets every night.

I will answer both questions with one word; no. The best Megadeth setlist I have seen was the aftershow following MTL.

Megadeth will play here in Santiago, on Saturday at Maquinaria Festival..they will be closing the first night, other bands that will gonna play before them are Faith No More, Chris Cornell, Alice in Chains, Down..and other stuff

I don't have ticket, but I've seen Megadeth 3 times, and it's the same set of always, 13 didn't like that much so I'm glad to pass for this time

And yes, Trust is a terrible opener

Well when most of your new album sucks and is pretty much all b-sides and fillers it's understandable why not much would be played off it. As far as changing the set encouraging more people to go see them, I don't really think that's true. There's only a small percntage of people that know the setlists for shows ahead of time. Most people who go to shows have no clue what the set will be. So if you don't wanna go because of the set, you're really in the minority.

I get keeping the standard stuff but this set does suck. Trust is not a good opener and IMDH second doesn't really work for me. They should move WUD and Hangar to the first two songs and at least kick the set off properly.

Also, Who's Life is one of the worst songs on the album and the fact that they're doing it is a fuckin joke. Puplic Enemy is good but hopefully something like Sudden Death, Never Dead or Deadly Nightshade takes the place of the awful Who's Life Is It Anyways.

Didn't Dave just have neck surgery too? Maybe the short sets are due to him still recovering. I doubt Megadeth will be a band that plays for a shorter time and Anthrax.

This was the set when I saw them on the first Gigantour:

Blackmail The Universe
Set The World Afire
Skin o' My Teeth
The Scorpion
Wake Up Dead
In My Darkest Hour
Die Dead Enough
She-Wolf
Reckoning Day
A Tout Le Monde
Angry Again
Trust
Hangar 18
Sweating Bullets
Tornado of Souls
Kick The Chair
Symphony of Destruction
Peace Sells

Holy Wars... The Punishment Due

Sure there was a lot of the usual songs played but they gave us a quality length headline set. That's all I really ask for out of a band now, is to go out there and play for a respectable amount of time and look like you give a shit if you're the headliner.

That's what we all think here, but tell it to the people who bitch that all the hits aren't in the set. There are more of them than there are of us, and that's the sad truth.

Songs they need to start playing:

Killing is My Business
Devil's Island
Go To Hell
Angry Again
Killing Road
Blackmail The Universe
Never Dead
Sudden Death
Guns, Drugs, and Money

Jesus Christ Dave... drop She-Wolf, Sweating Bullets, Tout Le Monde already.... and as much as i like Wake Up Dead and In My Darkest Hour, they've been played to death. Swap them out with something else...

They did Angry Again at the second show in Argentina. I think Never Dead and Sudden Death will find their way in at some point. As for the rest of those songs, it's nice to dream isn't it:D
