There was no formal announcement of these dates, but nevertheless, they are official. Figured I'd post them in case anyone here would be interested in seeing any of the shows.

January 18th, 2011 @ BB Kings - New York, NY
January 19th, 2011 @ Jaxx - West Springfield, VA
January 20th, 2011 @ Montage Music Hall - Rochester, NY

DO NOT miss this if you are a Riot fan. Their US popularity is no doubt questionable and this is a very rare chance to see them, especially the reunited Thundersteel lineup. I will absolutely be at the NYC show. Riot is the highest ranking band on my to-see list that's actually a realistic possibility.

These might end up being the only dates, since Tony Moore still needs to recover from his root canal and they're doing 70k Tons right afterwards. Goddamn do I wish they were coming to LA though, I love Thundersteel to death and every track I've heard from Immortal Soul sounds fantastic.

I think a full tour could definitely still be in the cards (though those of you in less-frequented areas shouldn't hold your breath) - I think this is definitely more of an extended warm-up for the 70,000 tons thing than anything. They haven't played live in a good 2+ years I believe. The band is generally based out of the NYC-area so I guess they just figured they'd go out and do a small warm-up tour and pacify some east coast fans as well.

I'm still holding hope for Swordlord to get Riot to do a show in St. Paul at Station 4. If he can get Pagan's Mind to do 1 of the only 2 North American headlining shows here, Riot should be easy top pull off. :D
