I was curious to see if anyone had heardd anything about a Children of Bodom United States tour next year, seeing as I found a random date--on Livenation, for Louisville, Kentucky---at 'Expo Five'. Tickets go on sale for it---Saturday at 10:00. It is scheduled for February--

So have any of you heard anything?

I haven't heard anything yet, but I wouldn't doubt a February/March tour.

Although I am pretty disappointed by the band live. Not just because Devin Townsend blew them away back in July, but they are just getting sloppier and sloppier over the years.

I've seen COB twice and they sounded good, but just weren't that exciting to watch.

I had thought perhaps CoB might be a candidate to tour with Lamb Of God on their upcoming US tour. Instead I hear they are touring with Eluveitie, Revocation & Threat Signal.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH.

Is that Lamb Of God, or Children Of Bodom touring with Eluveitie, Revocation or Threat Signal?

Regardless, that is the best show of 2012 that I'll probably leave or simply not watch the headlining band for.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Lamb of God will never at any point in their future do a tour with Eluveitie.

Why? Lamb of God has toured with stranger bands. Hell Lamb of God did the first Sounds Of The Underground with Clutch, Poison The Well and From Autumn To Ashes on it.

From Autumn To Ashes and Poison the Well go hand-in-hand with LoG. Fuck, that would have been a sick tour to see, actually! Clutch is a little surprising, but a southern rocky-sludgy band is way more believable as a tourmate to LoG (who are from the south and love that style of music) than the folkiest of folky european metal.

What I'm getting at is that, as long as their is a crowd I can't imagine why it wouldn't work. If that combination worked (along with all the other bands on the tour) Why couldn't Eluveitie fit in? Cynic toured with Meshuggah and Dragonforce on two different tours in the same year.

Odd combinations can work sometimes, is the focal point of this seminar.

Sounds of the Underground always had weird fucking lineups. The one I saw had AILD, Trivium, In Flames, Cannibal Corpse, GWAR, Behemoth, BDM, Terror, Through the Eyes of the Dead and I think Evergreen Terrace. Every year was always a big mixture of genres.

lol, "there"

I'm not saying that Eluveitie wouldn't work. I just think there are ten thousand more "moshable" bands that would probably be on the list ahead of them, therefore, unrealistic. Come on. They're gonna book bands with Lamb of God that people will mosh their socks off to.

You didn't catch the typo in the TDWP thread, but you caught this one just fine?

Honestly I give as much fuck about Lamb Of God as I do the divorce of Kim Kardashian. 0.0% Not until Lamb Of God impresses me again, which likely isn't going to happen.

I'd much rather see Eluveitie, Revocation and Threat Signal tour on their own then with Children Of Bodom or Lamb Of God.

Yes I am implying Children of Bodom and Lamb Of God sucks, so no need for the trendy Implying quote that you like to do. :D

I saw Children of Bodom open for Lamb of God back in 2004, before Sacrament and Are You Dead Yet? were released. It was glorious.

If either one of them goes on tour with Eluveitie, I would go just to see Eluveitie again. They're phenomenal live.

Those are some NICE prices. Bodom is usually ~$40-$45 here. Haven't listened to Revocation or Threat Signal, but I'd definitely be there for Eluveitie and CoB! Though I'm assuming they're playing cities they didn't hit on the tour with Devin this time around.

At least Bodom presented a possibility of bringing Eluveitie my way with this tour. Better to see Eluveitie play a shortened set than not see them at all, though it's academic since this tour sucks shit.

They headlined earlier this year, so really only die hard Eluveitie fans (like a friend of mine) will go to this just for Eluveitie. Same thing went for Devin on the Bodom tour this year as well. I went basically for him, Obscura and Septic Flesh and it sucked that he only played 7 songs. Luckily it was all made up when I saw him headline last month.

And yeah this tour just comes off to me as boring as hell.

Yeah, the closest they came to me on their headlining tour was 7 hours. And it was during school so I had no chance of going.

I'm surprised Bodom only has three Canadian dates considering it's a NA tour. They dramatically outsell the United States per capita north of the border.

Two new dates have been added:
January 28 - Tremont Music Hall, Charlotte, NC
January 29 - Reverb, Reading, PA

Hopefully they will add a Chicago date which is possible on the 2nd of February.
