Ok, still only a rumor so far, but here's what folks claim(will be edited whenever better info comes)

MAIN STAGE:
Black Sabbath
System Of A Down
Megadeth
Killswitch Engage
Machine Head

SECOND STAGE(headliners):
Lamb Of God
Testament
Suicide Silence

SECOND STAGE(rotating):
36 Crazyfists
All Shall Perish
Dirge Within
Impending Doom

I have a strong source from Tehran/Iran telling me that Glen Danzig Will be headlining the Glen Dan Zig stage which will take place After sabbaths performance....On a much bigger more superior stage. :hmm:

Why would they book and pay for SOAD when they have all the draw they'd need with a reunited Sabbath?

I still think that's funny since he had no problem playing a side stage and only 30 min at Rock On The Range and broad daylight

I heard from a reliable source that Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and King Diamond are going to play the mainstage. GET READY FOR THE BEST OZZFEST EVER!

11-06-2011, 11:21 AM
I feel like they would get SOAD in order to make sure they get the younger audiences to come. Especially those my age who weren't old enough to see either SOAD or Sabbath with Ozzy. Plus their are those whose parents would go with their kids in order to see Sabbath. Black Sabbath=fucking expensive ticket prices. Black Sabbath + SOAD=really fucking expensive ticket prices

Yeah and look at the first page of it. Same thing applies to this, except replace "Mayhem" with "Ozzfest".

Is it wrong that I'd go to this? Screw Suicide Silence and All Shall Perish. I realize its pure speculation, but that'd be a decent line up. I'd throw Marilyn Manson on there, too, since they've got a new album coming out.

Why would it be wrong? Sabbath, SOAD, Megadeth, and Testament. LOG and Machine Head are decent too. It's too good to be true if anything.

Impending Doom is pretty good, too. I'd expect to pay at least $40 for lawn seats. I'd go for Sabbath alone.

I'd probably just go late and show up right before Megadeth if this proves to be true.

Looks a lot better than any Mayhem Fest line-up. The only problem i have, if this is true, is that Testament is that for down on the bill. As long as they get a decent amount of time to play that's cool. I'd rather see them on the side stage now that i think about it.

Another thing... Machine Head would be opening the main stage, so does that mean they would get 35 minutes with a set of 4 or 5 songs like they did on Mayhem this year?

Not necessarily. I doubt this is the lineup, but they didn't announce last year's Ozzfest until April or May. I wouldn't expect to hear anything until January of February if it's going to be a full festival tour.

Yeah,If Ozzfest does go on Sabbath and SOAD wouldn't both be there.Like Steev said SOAD is too expensive, they got over $300,000 per show last time.Sabbath would draw enough to make it happen. And there's no way Maiden would ever do Ozzfest again after what happened last time they were on the bill.

While the above post is likely accurate I truely cannot see Sabbath touring on Metal Masters and coming back for yet a second full tour on Ozzfest only a few months later...

People, stop dreaming for a second. Look at that lineup. Why on earth would Lamb of God except a spot on the bill headlining the second stage? They played right before Ozzy in 2007 and they are clearly bigger than Machine Head and could probably even play over Megadeth now. They played the same spot on the 2010 Mayhem as Megadeth did in 2011.

Closing band on second stage at Ozzfest, I'm rather sure plays longer than opening bands on main stage. plus, who the fuck wants to see Lamb of God in a seat, or on the lawn since GA would be sold out fast.

1) Ozzfest 2007 was free, they didn't need a big coheadliner.
2) Lamb of God are filming a DVD of their touring over the next 2 years, I'm sure side stage footage would be more pertinent than main stage footage.
3) I'm sure that if they requested a lower slot, it would be given to them.

1. Didn't have enough time or help with the blog.

2. Metal Masters? My sources tell me that Sabbath, Priest and Motorhead have been talks for a tour in the US. Not sure if it is a 'Metal Masters' or an 'Ozzfest' or what. Not even sure if they will in fact tour, but my source tells me it was looking very likely. As for the other bands involved or for Ozzfest, I have received no word on that yet. Sabbath, Priest and Motorhead looks like a strong possbility. It deserves a thread instead of Ozzfest at this point. I was hearing of that tour before DallasDude18 made it public.

Look at Ozzfest 2004 when Slipknot headlined the 2nd stage, or when Rob Zombie headlined the 2nd stage in 2005... Both of those bands are bigger than Lamb of God. They need a big name to headline the 2nd stage
