I want to throw my phone at the wall! I have an R2D2 Droid 2. There was a new update for the Droids a month or so ago. Since it updated to the newest version, I have had a lot of problems. The first thing it did was restart after ever five texts I send. Its annoying to have it restart so often. When my starts, R2 whistles loudly. There's no way for me to turn that off, so I hate being in class and having my phone restart on me. After a few weeks, it would do this less often, but then it began to start having other problems. The touch screen would freak out and freeze on me often. I would have to hit the lock button and unlock again in order for it to function again, but that would only last for a few seconds. It would keep doing this, then act normal for a bit and go back to acting up. It did this for a week or so, then a new problem occurred. I would start to send a text, then my phone would freeze. I would literally have to exit out of the text app and then go back to finish texting. I would literally only be able to type a word at a time. After three or four time, it would usually stop freezing. My phone literally just started having all the problems at once and I'm getting very frustrated.

Basically, I'm wondering if anyone else has had any problems with their Droid since the newest system update. My friend's Droid 2 has been having the restart problems too, but that's all. I wonder if there is anyway to go back to the old version so I don't have to deal with this anymore?

Edit: fixed the freezes while typing problem..

I downloaded the update not so long ago too. The only thing I like about it is that it gave me an Enter button lol. But it now vibrates when I type stuff in, which I don't like, and it also freezes between some words while I do so.

I believe if you go to the keyboard settings, there is an option to not have it vibrate.

I have an R2D2 Droid 2

I'm sorry, but this isn't the droid you're looking for! ;)

But really I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. It's pretty good, definitely improved from the software update I did over the summer for it but there are some bugs and apparently another update is available...
