Fantastic show! Warbringer, Landmine Marathon and Diamond Plate all killed! There was an opening band called Witchbanger. They play doom metal and... it was pretty generic and boring, and VERY loud.

Diamond Plate, who I know for sure are getting a lot more attention now that they're on this tour, felt great to be home and put on a great show for us.

Diamond Plate:
Entertainment Today
Generation Why?
Pull the Trigger
Relativity
At the Mountains of Madness
Empire Tomorrow

Now the reason I came to this show was for Landmine Marathon. I knew they were going to be sick as hell, and that they were! Sadly there weren't a lot of people moshing for them, which is kind of what I expected but hey they still put on a sick show! I also met Grace Perry after the show, she was very cool! I don't have a set list because I'm not really that familiar with their material song title wise, so if Brian sees this maybe he can help since he's a much bigger fan.

Landmine Marathon:
Three Snake Leaves
Shadows Fed To Tyrants
Bile Towers
Beaten and Left Blind
Exist
Dead Horses
Red Days

Didn't watch Lazarus A.D. because fuck Lazarus A.D.

Now we all know Warbringer have been on a ton of tours in the past, usually opening or direct support, so it was a matter of time before they get the attention they deserved and did a headlining run of the U.S. and Canada! This was my 4th time seeing them, and as always, they put on a hell of a show! I know they love Chicago, and they made sure to put on a better show than usual for us! Some notable highlights during their set was John Kevill "accidentally" calling Chicago a country, and Konrad (lead guitarist of Diamond Plate) playing guitar for Abandoned by Time. Oh, and the incredible amount of energy they have on stage, how could I forget that?!

Warbringer:
Living Weapon
Severed Reality
Shoot To Kill
Jackal
Shattered Like Glass
Demonic Ecstasy
Wake Up... Destroy
Abandoned By Time (with Konrad from Diamond Plate on guitar)
Prey For Death
Total War
Living In A Whirlwind
Combat Shock

We Are The Roadcrew (Motorhead cover)
Treacherous Tongue

Overall, great show! I'm tired and sore as hell from the madness, but that's how you know it was a great show!

Dude, the set is perfect for the amount of time they have. They're basically doing their "hits" with some new ones from Gallows.

Honestly they could've done Gallows in it's entirety (seeing as it's only 28 minutes) and I would've been totally happy. That album fucking rips.

Also, all of them were really cool. Grace seemed drunk which was pretty funny but she was really nice. Like people already said in this thread, it sucks that they didn't get the crowd response they deserved but hey, we did what we could.

I will pray (prey) that Warbringer ends with Future Ages Gone here in KC!

Damn. Thought all the bands were good. Although I thought Landmine dominated, I didn't think there was a bad band in the bunch.

Seriously why all the fucking hate for Lazarus A.D.?

Wahhhhh they put out a mid tempo, Melodic album, Wahhhhhh!!!!

It's a damn good album. Yeah Thrash purists will hate it, but real music fans can really enjoy it. I'm glad they didn't put out a pure Thrash album again, all of the new Thrash bands are doing that, and very few are standing out anymore, like Revocation, Vektor.

Don't get me wrong, I love Thrash. After Prog, Thrash is my favorite genre of Metal, but there's gotta be some variation in it. Hell, it isn't Metalcore, Nu Metal, or Djent. Somethings gotta be original at some point.

I dunno about everybody else, but I just cannot stand their vocalist. The music is decent, but the vocalist annoys the living fuck out of me.

Unless I've been missing out on the debates here. You're the first person I've seen say this. While I do understand why you would. As I've said ever since I got into Opeth back in 2004. Vocals are the last thing I pay attention to in a band. And it is super rare for me to not enjoy a band because of the vocals.

I felt the same way about Testament back in the day. I just could not stand Chuck Billy's vocal style when I heard The Legacy but, I loved the music. Once The New Order came out and I heard Trial By Fire, I didn't have a problem with it.

It stood out to me as generic radio rock. So, no. How do you go from The Onslaught to THAT?

I thought The Onslaught sucked too.

I think their vocalist is shit.

When I first heard "Thou Shalt Not Fear" I just could not get into it. I tried other songs and could not get into it. It just feels watered down.

Absolutely fucking not. South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss are melodic mid-tempo thrash albums, and they are amazing. Lazarus A.D.'s new album is radio hard-rock garbage.

I loved The Onslaught when I first heard it, but now it just sounds like groove-thrash-core to me. Not terrible. Solid.

Seriously. If these guys are/were thrash, then so is Bullet For My Valentine's second album

I've seen LaZarus twice (three times tomorrow) and I've always thought their music was just boring, by-the-numbers Pantera worship.
