WOW! What a great night! Ace's backing band is a bunch of young guys who I'm sure wern't even born when ace was actually IN Kiss (pre 1982 i mean). But they jamed and played great! For many of the classic kiss songs, Ace didn't sing, (one of the band members did), but clearly those song were chosen so ace could play his classic solo to the delight of the crowd.

Any hardcore Kiss fan needs to get to this show, you will be in heaven, just look at the setlist! He throws TONS of pics to the crowd, and just totally smoked.
The first song rocket ride was so awesome, i decided right there I'm going back for the 2nd night on Wednesday. (don't tell my wife! ;)

That set kicks major ass. A lot of my favorites.

While that is a phenomenal set list, I am slightly (only slightly) disappointed that he didn't include more songs from Anomaly. I have heard him do many of these tunes live over the years but missed his tour last year for the new record. But that is just a minor complaint. I will be front and center and singing along to every one of these tunes in 2 weeks!!

Tickets for this are like $55.00 with tax though.

While that is a phenomenal set list, I am slightly (only slightly) disappointed that he didn't include more songs from Anomaly.I, for one, am thankful he's almost completely ignoring Anomaly. Aside from Outer Space, which I find only moderately entertaining, I was hugely disappointed with it.

Nice username/avatar, by the way. LOVE me some King's X.

what time did Ace take the stage?

10-27-2011, 01:39 PM
Ace went on at 9:15 - 11pm

It was so freaking good, i went back to the 2nd show at BB's on wed night too! Second show wasn't as smooth. they stopped and restarted 2 songs, (love her all i can, flaming youth)... but thats cool. Proves it was ALL LIVE, no bullshit backing in the PA that they play along to. OH, Ace wears dark shades the whole time, and during his solo at the end he ventured a little too far to stage right and actually fell off, but he was caught and didnt hurt himself. He changed the guitar that obviously fell out of tune. and marched on. Eddie Trunk came out to stir up the crowd for the encores and was wearing a shirt that said "Rock and Roll Hall of Shame - Disgrace"
I couldn't agree more. I will never pay any attention to any RARHOF anything until they rectify this ridiculous and INTENTIONAL oversight, of not just Kiss, but Deep Purple, Rush, Journey, and many other more than deserving hard rock and metal bands. Too many to mention.

Also, I wouldv'e liked to hear outerspace as the opener too, but i am not gonna complain. It was a great set. I'll try to get to the book signing

Hope he brings this set to my area, great setlist.Glad to see him playing songs he wrote, not relying on Gene or Paul's songs too much.
