Might as well make an Official Thread for it instead of the thread with the Faceless.

It is Cynic/3/Anathema and at least 1 local band on each date. It runs from November 6th to the 23rd. Starting on the east Coast. One show is official at least as far as I know. November 13th at Station 4 in St. Paul MN.

Dates, and tickets will be available within 2 weeks.

I'll check Slims... cause that's the only godam place Cynic or Devin Townsend play...
Tues Nov 22 w/ Three & Scale the Summit $18

Yep.

Yep.

Its so strange to keep seeing Scale the Summit on this tour when I was told by 3 it was Anathema. Maybe Anathema had to cancel out or there was visa problems again?

Probably, foreign bands always seem to be having problems in the US.

Also what confuses me is that Protest The Hero/Scale The Summit/Last Chance To Reason are doing a tour, at the end of November. They are playing here in St. Paul November 30th.

My God......I don't want Scale The Summit to be the new Blackguard or Powerglove....

A lot of bands have been there at some point. It was Warbringer like 2-3 years back, now it's Abigail Williams, Hate, Powerglove, Pathology, etc. Except Scale the Summit is actually, you know, good.

Absolutely. What I meant was I don't want them to be hated like them because of how often they are touring.

Doubt that will happen. Since, you know, its humanly impossible to hate Scale the Summit.

Until I clicked on the link I was going to say those are just the initial dates and there will be more, including Canada.

I also saw this on Station 4's Facebook wall after I had a conversation about the show:

Ill get you the details soon kids. We definately have a CYNIC/ 3 show on November 13th, not quite sure who are first of three is yet.

I hate how every metal show I want to see is going to Mojoes. I use to live like 15 minutes from there and right after I moved into the city last fall they opened it up.

Its like a hour and a half drive now.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that Anathema couldn't get their visas, so Scale The Summit signed on the tour.

I'm a little bummed, but Scale The Summit is fucking awesome, and The Collective is permanently in my top 10 of 2011, so I'm not disappointed at all.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in here just for second. For starters, appreciate all the kinds words about our band! Thanks to google alert, which I have to find reviews on our albums to post on our website, this one popped up.

We are not playing the St. Paul show on the Cynic tour since they fall in such a close date, or the Reno, NV date. So make sure to come to the Protest The Hero show if you want to see us, we'll also be playing a longer set on that tour since we're direct support! Win win for the fans I would say.
Obviously go see our friends in Cynic as well, just wanted to make sure you guys on here going to that show to see us, know why we aren't going to be there.

So technically we're in the clear on the over touring I guess ha!

And not really sure on the details of Anathema, I imagine its definitely work visa related things, its much harder for bands to come in the states than it is for US bands to go over there. Much more strict here.

Hey Chris! Josh Rundquist from Facebook here.

I totally forgot to update this when you told me that a couple nights ago. But I'm glad that you found this place and did it yourself. If there is anyone who doesn't like STS here, I don't ever see them chime in. We all love you guys. :D

I talked to Joey Eppard the same night, it was visa issues, same exact problem the band, Ghost, had earlier this year.

Again I'm glad to see you on here, Hope to see you more.

(Oh yeah I should say, I'm playing Origins Of Species on my radio show in 2 weeks for my special Instrumental show, and also picking out a song now for my Top 20 Of 2011. I got you guys lucked in the top 10 for sure. if you're interested I'll send you a link to the shows when I record them)

HOLY SHIT IT'S CHRIS FUCKIN' LETCHFORD!

I reviewed The Collective here!
http://www.metalsetlists.com/showthread.php?t=16143

Honestly, I don't find it to be quite as perfect as when I first heard it, mostly because some of the songs are waaaay too short/feel undeveloped/fade out. But it's still awesome! I personally find Carving Desert Canyons a little catchier for me to listen to, but the dynamic range on the Collective blows CDC out of the water.

Anyway. Yes, we all love your guts on this site. Thanks for chiming in!
