Not to be an asshole, but that's the typical opinion of the punk rock metal fan. I actually thought it was really interesting that you, being a punk, liked the Megadeth album that most people like them couldn't understand the best. It's nice to see people discover that they were a great band before Rust In Peace. But it's just very generic for most punk people to love the first two Megadeth albums and nothing else (not to say that you do, as Rust is still in second place).

My Last Words is one of the best Megadeth songs ever though.

Hidden World is punkier than The Chemistry of Common Life, which opens with a flute and you can only imagine how outrageous it gets from there. Both are great, though. Don't sleep on the non-album stuff either. They've pressed about a million singles. The "Couple Tracks" comp is essential, as is "Police" and the entire "Year of the ______" series. In fact, Year of the Pig might be the best thing they've done apart from DCTL.

And I'm stoked for that Alcest record too. :bliss:
