Perfect setlist in my eyes.

My best female friend and her boyfriend went to this show, and she taped an interview with Mike Mangini that will be posted in the hopefully near future.

I'll post it when it's available. they are editing it now.

wat. I mean, it's not a terrible set list by any means, but PERFECT? Not even close.

Considering I have seen them 4 times, yeah It's perfect to me. Is it missing Classic songs? yes. But I've seen those songs live. From DT I want songs I haven't seen how many times over because of Portnoy. This is what I love to see.

It's a good set but far from perfect. With the exception of nothing from FII, I like that they've made the set very well balanced and cover their whole career nicely. You can't ask for more from a band when they put a set together than to make sure the bulk of their albums get represented. So hats off to DT for doing that.

My only issue is that I think These Walls is too mid tempo to be second.

If it's the same as the last 3 shows of them opening for DT, this would be it:

In Waves
Drowned And Torn Asunder
Caustic are the Ties that Bind
Ignition
Built To Fall
Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr
Kirisute Gomen
Throes Of Perdition

And this is why I will wait for a headlining show. Would have liked to see DT but had work and didn't feel like paying the $60.00 or whatever for a ticket.

And really Trivium no Dusk Dismantled, Inception Of The End, or any big songs from your older albums. Only a few ones.

And I'm guessing before In Waves they did Capsizing The Sea or whatever as the opening for In Waves.

Good setlist from Trivium if you ask me, few rarer cuts, like Drowned and Torn Asunder and Ignition. Kirisute Gomen in the middle would be a little odd, its like Disciple or Wicker Man, its such a huge opener that playing its either an opener or not in the setlist for me.

I mean by all means its not a bad setlist there are just some songs that arent in there that I'm shocked about.
