Looks like Katatonia are changing their setlist as the tour goes on. I really hope they play For My Demons and Chrome in Chicago or I will be very disappointed.

Would have rather had the Katatonia set from MA. Wonder what they played in CT.

I'm really looking forward to this show! Especially Katatonia. Did you see what kind of merch they were selling?

Maideneer

$20 shirts, $10 hats, don't know much else, will see tonight.

Somebody let me know what's with all the Opeth hysteria? 10+ pages for each gig, etc..... Is Ihsahn perhaps a less interesting or worse musician?...

they're a popular band and no one's happy with their recent setlists and people are hypothesizing the future of the band.

At least it leaves room for discussion unlike most setlist bitching.

Then I make an exception - I never used to like Opeth, and I recognized them with their newest record. Hats down. Their death-metal endeavour was mediocre.

I more wanted to know what made Opeth far more popular than Ihsahn.

Does this gentlemen know a single fucking thing that he is talking about?

Ihsahn stopped being awesome after he cut Anthems to the Welkin At Dusk, blunt and simple.

Whoa whoa whoa, stop that train pronto. Get off at the next stop and turn around and take the journey again.

Katatonia merch? How much was the Opeth merch, and what shirts were they offering?

Both bands' shirts for $20, don't know too much, I'll look tonight.

Sweet; that's actually cheaper than Operh shirts online.

I was expecting $25, if not $30 at the least from Opeth. I'll probably pick up at least 2 at that price! Hope they have a Deliverance shirt... :snivel:

Yeah, last time I saw Opeth they were $30, if I remember correctly. Although, they were all limited for the 20th anniversary tour.

You saw Blackwater Park in it's entirety...

I preferred the 2nd set WAY more to BWP in it's entirety

THE MOOR

THE MOOR

Probably my least favorite Opeth album... :eyes:

As for that second set they played, I wish they played a better tune off of Deliverance *coughMASTERSAPPRENTICEScough* and Watershed. It would rule to see Hessian Peel live or something.

I'm tempted to call blasphemy right now...what didn't you like about Still Life?

Although I'm with you on Hessian Peel. Probably my favorite song off of Watershed.

It just didn't capture my interest like their other albums. The songs bled together I felt, and weren't memorable for me. I don't know. I just feel like My Arms had a great style going for it, yet they wanted to change. You can hear that change on Still Life, but it wasn't quite realized until they put out Blackwater. So I don't think it's a bad album per se, it just didn't excite me and capture my interest like the others.

I prefer Morningrise and MAYH but regardless The Moor is their best song.

Did they do the reverse vocals live?!
