How many E6 fans do we have here on metalsetlists? I hope myself and Manks aren't the only ones. The band are embarking on their "Hello, Destructor!" tour, beginning TONIGHT in Lansing, Michigan. The tour is in support of their new album "Heartbeats and Brainwaves", which will be available on tour before its official release on October 11th. Those of you who are unfamiliar with Electric Six should do yourselves a favor and check 'em out. Your life will never be the same.

They play here ALLLLLLLLLLL the time and it baffles me because to me, they're pretty much a kitschy joke band.

Well they're kind of legendary in the indie/alternative rock community. And I think they're much more clever and entertaining than your average kitschy joke band.

Post-9/11 MTV syndrome I guess. There's also a version where he says "Let's start an edit... start a radio edit"

One of my old bands used to cover Gay Bar, we were a sort of pop punk group.. Twas fun times, instant crowd-pleaser in almost any pub or gig!

Haha, yeah it is. Sad though that most people only know that song, and Danger! High Voltage. A lot of their later material is much better.

Its true! They're totally unsung heroes as well, they're always touring and playing colleges here and the attendances are always good.. They're one of those bands lots like, but noone talks about..!
