"Dave Mustaine said at the Big 4 concert that he needs to undergo surgery on his neck after suffering an injury on the recently completed Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour."

I assume he will rest until January and then head out in support of 13.

That's what happens when you're 50 years old and you tour nonstop for the better part of two years.

Dave should take as much time as he needs to heal. There's no reason to comeback to fast, the fans will always be there.

True. He's gonna end up getting surgury then rushing to do Gigantour and he's gonna kill himself touring.

Although they have a handful of South American shows in November I wonder how this will affect them?

Yep. Hopefully his healing rejuvenates him. They weren't great at The Big 4, and they sucked at Mayhem Fest.

Not a big Megadeth fan, Dave annoys me, talks shit all the time, and I could care less about the condition of his wrinkly old neck.

To each their own I suppose.
