I just a listing for this in my area on November 25th. No bands play south Florida without it being a full tour, so I'm guessing the dates will be announced soon or something.
Looks like a co-headlining tour in November/December with Unearth playing last.
But I won't be home when their playing around me, of course.... :flame:

Chimaira is coming here next month, doubt they'd do 2 shows that close together

Chimaira is playing Orlando next month as well, so I think this is either a random show or that tour shouldnt matter.

Fuck yes! Sounds like a good possibility. Trevor did tell us this summer that they were 100% gonna do a headlining tour by the end of this year. Could very well be this.

Whenever they become a bit more popular. Soon after that they will explode into the next big underground sensation ala LoG & Mastodon. Shortly after that metal elitist world wide will not like the band ever again.

Fuck that. It's far and away the best lineup for any tour they've ever been involved with...ever.

EDIT: I think the gods of metal may have finally heard my pleas. Now all that's left is for me to find out I can't attend any of the dates within 200 miles of where I live. :D

There is a good shot of you getting a date, Chimaira's headlining tour isn't coming to Cleveland. Hoepfully you do get a date, Unearth and Chimaira are both awesome live (Skeletonwitch is too, but you already know that;))

may not be a cleveland show on this tour because of chimaira's annual christmas show. unless they do it before christmas and at the end of this tour, which they have done before. i would hope that for your sake so you get unearth and what not, their standalone christmas shows almost always have weak support bands.

last time they headlined was with Carnifex, Veil of maya and the ghost inside. Unearth barely made up for this terrible support

Hoepfully you do get a date, Unearth and Chimaira are both awesome live (Skeletonwitch is too, but you already know that;))I've actually seen Chimaira before as well. It was in 2009, and the show was a surprise free  warm-up gig they played before going on tour later that year. They were awesome.

Of course, it was the night after I saw Isis / Pelican / Keelhaul at the Grog Shop, so Chimaira was only like the cherry on top of an already fucking awesome peanut butter fudge sundae, but still - they were damn good. ;)

What you say about the Christmas show is true, but the support bands are generally what you would consider "weak" because they are local. Those gigs are always more about getting some up & coming bands some more exposure than they are about putting together a killer line-up. I've almost gone to a handful of them, but something always seems to come up to prevent me from going. I probably will, eventually.

Also, I don't see why the Christmas show would prevent them from playing a headliner in Cleveland - again, since the Christmas show is a one-off deal and it's about getting exposure for newer bands just as much as it is about Chimaira playing...but we'll see.

oh i totally get why the christmas shows are the way they are, but still, weak bands are weak bands, and my point is it would just be a shame that cleveland miss a great tour lineup like this just because chim wants to have the xmas show seperate.

as for why it would prevent, as popular as they are in their hometown, i really dont think they have the draw to pull off two major shows that close together. obviously unearth tour would have to be at a bigger venue, probably house of blues, which is generally where the christmas shows are, which i dont think they ever sell out on their own as it is, so why would they do another show within the a month and split the draw? only way i could see them doing 2 shows is if they did the xmas show in a tiny place, but that still could keep people who only care about seeing chimaira from going to the unearth show.

but hey i could be and have been wrong many a time, so cue the tour announcement to prove it!

Chimaira Christmas 2010 setlist:

1. Cleansation
2. The Impossibility of Reason
3. The Pictures in the Gold Room
4. Power Trip
5. Down Again
6. Pure Hatred
7. Nothing Remains
8. Save Ourselves
9. Lazarus
10. The Venom Inside
11. Frozen in Time
12. Try to Survive
13. Destroy and Dominate
14. The Secrets of the Dead
15. Severed
16. Lumps
17. Sp Lit
18. The Flame
19. Empire
20. Resurrection

I will take that perfect fucking set any day over a full tour lineup.

chimaira xmas 2005 was better, 2 nights in a row with only a single song (power trip) repeated (i.e. most of their catalog up until that point), including a portion of crawl and a cover of pantera's walk :)

but yeah, if the xmas show was included in the tour, id imagine at least chimaira would get to close, maybe even extend their set and do close to what they would do for xmas anyways

So this is the 2nd leg of the "Age of Hell Tour" meaning Chimaira will be headlining with Unearth as direct support. I guess this means they won't hit up the places they did on the first leg.

no its co-headline: https://twitter.com/#!/chimairamark/status/114787738649247744 and the ticketmaster listing for the ft lauderdale show had unearth listed first so they will probably be closing.

it still most likely wont be hitting the same cities though
