I'm super excited about this, "Into the Grave" is one of the greatest death metal albums of all time. I'll be at the final date in Tempe, who else is going?

Just looked on Chain Reaction's website and they have one local band opening and another TBA, which will make a total of six bands for the show. Since the shows there have to end by 11:30 I'm kind of worried about Grave's set being cut... :bouville:

IF anything, they will probably just not do an encore. The album is only 40 minutes long. If worst comes to worst they will probably bounce after they're done performing the album. I'm sure things will be fine.

Yikes, I hate curfews. Here in the Phoenix area we only have one venue that I can think of where the shows have to be over by 10pm. Fortunately there aren't a lot of metal shows there.

Are there a lot of metal shows at this Chain Reaction place?

The Chain Reaction is normally a venue for metalcore and indie shows. There's rarely any real metal shows there. I fucking hate that place with a passion. They don't serve alc and no ins and outs. I one went to see Goatwhore there and got fucked over badly. I was at a really shitty point in life cause I thought my dad was going to die any day and I was really stressed with school. I was at the hospital with my dad and called to see when Goatwhore would go on and was told 1030. I showed up to the show at 1020ish and heard a bass being tuned. I asked if they were on yet and was told they were on their second or third song, so I payed and went in. After three songs, Goatwhore said good night and left. I was told they just played a 90 minute set and I saw less than 15 minutes of it cause the guy at the door lied to me. Fuck that place.

Damn, 10 is early. Yeah, a lot of the smaller bands play at Chain Reaction. Sometimes a more popular band will play there (Exodus and Destruction tours have been booked there) but that's not very often. I really love the club and it's only a 5-10 minute drive from my house, but the curfew can be frustrating.

Chances are, Sep is right and they will be able to finish the whole album, but I'd like to be able to see them play longer if possible.

There's rarely any real metal shows there.

I saw Cattle Decapitation and Rotting Christ there so far this year. Also Death Angel played there on their tour in February. Warbringer and Immolation are both playing shows there in October. Considering the amount of venues in the area, I'd say that's a good amount. But yes, the venue mainly books metalcore, indie, and hardcore shows.
