We got added to the Marduk/1349/Withered/Weapon show here in June. Pretty stoked for that, hopefully we'll have as good a turn out as we did with Decapitated, the crowd ate us up and treated us as if we were one of the touring bands.

I also uploaded a drum video of our one of our new songs on YouTube, check it out!

"We Want Blood" live February 25th, opening for Possessed.

I haven't checked out your band's web sites yet, but I will.

In the meantime, that's a sweet bill to get onto, based on your description of the band's style - you must be stoked.

Best of luck to you guys. :fist:

Thanks man! We have been busting our asses super hard over the last year, but keep having set backs with members quitting, but good things are on the horizon!

It's definitely a great bill to play. 1349 is one of my favorite black metal bands, and I just got into Weapon and those guys SLAY. I was bummed when I found out that the drummer of JFAC will be filling in for Frost, but at least he knows what he's doing :rocker:

Our ex-guitarist/live bassist has joined us full time, so we are now in the works of booking as much as possible. I am going to start work on booking a West Coast tour for the Fall, as well as a date in Eastern Washington and possibly Idaho.

Hopefully the tour works out, it'd be rad to meet some of you guys who live down in California :rocker:

I had to create a new YouTube account for us. Since the Google Account change over we haven't been able to log back into our account, and YouTube failed miserably at solving the problem.

Was planning a West Coast tour for mid-October, but due to how close it is and how it's been a week since I have heard back from any venues, we are going to wait until next Spring to do it. Maybe we can bring a band along with us.

Guess I can use this as a bit of a Blog too :D

For those that didn't read my post in the What Are You Doing thread, the Korpiklaani show was absolutely AMAZING. The venue was damn near full (which was a surprise due to how early the show ended up starting) and the crowd response we got was probably the best we have ever received (right next to our show with Decapitated last year).

Ended up selling a shitton of CD's and got rid of a lot of our stickers. I am ordering up a small batch of FUNERAL AGE "Thy Martyrdom Come" shot glasses, and going to see how those sell :rocker:

Here is a write up from the show, we didn't get a huge review, but oh well, some rad pics: http://www.nocleansinging.com/2012/09/13/live-in-seattle-korpiklaani-moonsorrow-tyr-and-metsatoll/

We do have some patches, but they fray really easily, and the print is kind of light on some as well. We will probably try another order through another company soon.

Suddenly we have been hit with a good amount of metal sites wanting our album for reviews. Kind of a bummer it has taken 10 years to get this much recognition going, but I guess with how the internet and promoting works now a days it was worth the wait.

Thanks! Not many bands tend to use actual websites anymore, at least locals, so we try to keep it as up to date as possible.

And yes, I am currently shopping aroud for a good price on patches. I want embroidered, but those are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

For everyone interested, we have 5 songs completed, and one song about halfway done, for our upcoming album. We will probably have 7 or 8 songs total on the release.

Overall, the music is a lot more Thrash/Death than it is Black Metal like our previous release was, but it is by far the most intense drumming I have ever done.

Can't wait to hit the studio and record it! We are looking for some time in 2013 for the release date.

So last night we jammed with our (hopefully) new bassist (he's going to do the Dying Fetus show for sure, after that we'll see what happens).

Dude learned half of our set within an hour or two... AND he is an insanely good bassist and creative with his lines. He doesn't play bass like a guitar, he plays it like a bass. I hope he sticks around and becomes a permanent member, he has a ton of enthusiasm to play, so hope he keeps it :rocker:

Well the Dying Fetus show went AMAZING. Sold a ton of merch, I think we actually sold out of our long sleeves. We ended up playing first (thanks to the almighty ticket sale) and I was super pissed at first... but once we took the stage the venue was packed. The crowd was on fire from start to finish. Even our new song, which is more mid-tempo old school DM than the rest of our songs, got a hell of a response. Everyone up front was headbanging. It was great.

After us was a local band I had never heard of. They were younger and a more crabcore/deathcore band, people seemed confused as to why we opened  . Oh well though! Our new bassist did a hell of a job too, can't wait to play more shows with him :rocker:

Small Updates:
- FINALLY, after years and years, we have a backdrop. Once I get a computer I'll post a picture. Our guitarists wife made it, and it looks amazing!

- Our new bassist made us an intro track for our shows. It's very awesome, reminds me a bit of the the intro of Vreid's "Milorg" album.

- We did a new photo shoot, pictures look great.

- Been busy preparing for Nile, and writing new songs. The NEW new songs are pretty aggressive and the drumming is insanely fun.

Thats about it. Just trying to book a nice line up of shows for the Spring :rocker:

June 24 - 2 Bit Saloon - Seattle, WA

Hopefully some of you guys live in said areas and are going to come out!!!

Looks like the 2 days off we had never got filled up, so we are just doing the route we had already planned and heading home after Denver. It's a bummer, but still going to be nice to get out and play some shows!

A really good friend of mine who moved to Boise is going to hopefully come out to the show as well. He helped my High School band get out and play real shows and supported us so much, despite us not being that good. It'll be so rad to see him again!

Played two REALLY good shows over the weekend. Started off on Friday opening for Gorod. Really cool guys. Loaned half of my kit to their drummer since Kamikabe (the band providing the backline) dropped off the tour the night before. I enjoyed them a lot more than I expected. Wasn't too big of a crowd, but anything is good compared to the crowd of my last show with my side band opening for Sorcery. We debuted a brand new song which everyone seemed to love.

Then on Saturday we went down to Spanaway, WA (about an hour + south of Seattle) to play a Memorial Benefit for our friend BJ. He passed away after having a lot of health problems, so this show was to help raise money for his wife, and pay tribute to his life. Amazing turnout, good all day outdoor event, and it was probably the best we have ever played. Got to play longer then we expected, so we busted out a song that we haven't played since the Nile show back in March. Sold a shit ton of merch and had a great time.

Now we are preparing for our tour which kicks off a week from tonight in Spokane, WA.

Got another date added to our tour! We will be playing in Billings, MT on Sunday June 16. We were originally planning on driving home from Denver on this day, but when we saw that the drive is abuot 20 hours we figured it wouldn't hurt to play another show, then drive 12 hours back to Seattle from Billings on Monday.

Full dates are...
June 10 - The Hop - Spokane, WA
June 12 - The Shredder - Boise, ID
June 13 - Burt's Tiki Lounge - Salt Lake City, UT
June 15 - The Bushwacker Saloon - Denver, CO
June 16 - The Railyard - Billings, MT

Got home from tour on Monday! It went ok, more of a learning experience than anything. We broke down on the way to Spokane, and forced to miss that show, but regrouped with Thou Shall Kill in Boise. Sadly, we didn't go on stage until 12:45, and it was a Wednesday, so only a couple people were there.

We played in Salt Lake city the following day, and the venue was still pretty empty, but it felt a little more fun than the Boise show since some of our Guitarists family was there to cheer us on.... so that was rad. We had a day off to travel to Denver, which ended up being THEE show of the tour, and possibly one of the most enjoyable shows I have played in my whole "music career". After the show we were out back with Thou Shall Kill loading up our gear, and a big group of a people who were at the show were cheering for us and saying thank you for coming down, it was fucking amazing.

We ended the tour in Billings, MT. Amazing venue, great sound, great stage... but it was Fathers Day, so it was quite empty. We kinda BS'd our way through our set, not just because of the lack of people, but we were fucking tired as shit. Thou Shall Kill had a decent crowd though, and a great response from them.

All in all it was a fun learning experience, I'd do it again, but hopefully the shows would have more people at them. We are playing in Seattle on Monday, I am stoked to play in front of my friends again :rocker:

Our homecoming show last night went amazingly. The 2-Bit Saloon is a smaller dive bar, and the crowd is either awesome, so so, or meh, but the crowd last night was AMAZING. Holy shit, the place was so packed and the response we got was so great. The pits we had were violent as hell and the crowd was just on fire the whole night.

I talked to a lot of people and I kept bringing up how nice it was to be home and playing in a familiar venue to a great crowd.

Anyway, it was a fun show and we had a blast. More shows to be announced soon!

WHAT WHAT WHAT????

I know, right lol.
We booked a show at said venue about a month or two ago. We called them the other day to confirm that everything was still a go, and they said "YUP! And you will be playing with [insert said band]."

I must say, it was nice of them to keep us on the show, other venues would have kicked us off and made us find a different place to play if a touring act asked for the same night.

Needless to say... it will be an interesting show... I am actually stoked for it!

John The Drummer
08-12-2013, 04:08 PM
Well the Boise, ID show just got even more odd

Two other bands on the show (I think they're on the tour too... one is from Seattle) and they make We Butter The Bread and us look like we play the same genre

One is called Incredible Me which reminds me of my ex-bassist from my ex-bands band he left us for, Issues. Very deathcore with electronics, but then they bust into screamo style vocals in the chorus.

The other band, Truth Under Attack, apparently from here in Seattle, is a pop rock Paramore styled female fronted band.

Boy-o-boy.... this will be a VERY odd show, but I am still looking forward to it. The crowd will either absolutely love us for being something completely different, or absolutely hate us, for the same reason :D

Welp, our mini-tour is this weekend. Should be pretty fun. Spokane on Friday, Boise on Saturday w/ We Butter The Bread With Butter, Portland on Sunday (our first time in Portland EVER), and then Seattle on Monday.

John The Drummer

I am guessing some of you want to know how the tour went, so I guess I'll make a little blog about it right here...

About 2 hours outside of Spokane we stopped at a truck stop to piss and just take a break, and noticed our radiator was leaking fluid. We were insanely nervous, but got off at the next main exit and hit up an Auto Zone (same one we broke down at back in June...) to pick up some more coolant, and then hit the road again. About an hour-half an hour outside of Spokane we noticed our temperature gauge rising....we got nervous, but kept on going.

We made it to the show safely, and had only missed a band or two. The venue had a very lenient curfew of 11:00pm, we got on stage around 10:15.... and there was still a band to go on after us. Luckily no one was cut short and the venue let us go late.

After the show we went and stayed at some friends of mines place, and then they let us work on our van in their drive way in the morning. We replaced the thermostat, and the van didn't overheat at all and was running great. Unfortunately, due to the amount of time it took to work on the van, we wouldn't be able to make it to our show in Boise with WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER in time, so we called the venue and had to cancel. We then decided to head West and just go straight to the next city, Portland. (the drive from Spokane - Portland is AMAZING once you get to central Oregon).

Once in Portland we got dinner, grabbed a cheap motel, and crashed out to prepare for what would be a long Sunday. We were the headlining band on the final night of the Sickness In September Fest, and showed up at the venue before any of the other bands.. My girlfriend ended up coming down to Portland from Seattle for our show and got there super early which put the biggest, and much needed, smile on my face!! (I dislike road trips/touring, fyi). After getting everything situated, her and I left to go have fun around the city, and to get a nice break from the band stuff.

We got back to the venue around 8:00pm or so to find that a couple of my band members had been having a bit too much fun, thus the nerves kicked in. Around 10:30 we got on stage and played one of the most nerve racking performances that we had ever played. We look back on it now and laugh, but at the moment it was very stressful.... but it definitely brought out the best in me and made me perform harder than ever before. We got through all of our songs, and even with the sloppiness, the crowd wanted more, so we played our cover of Slayer's "Criminally Insane" as an encore.

We got back to Seattle the next day to play for a whopping 10 people for our homecoming show. It was a Monday night, we didn't get on stage until after 11:00pm, so it was understandable, but more people would have been a lot better. We still had a blast despite all of the technical difficulties. Our guitarist had to spend a lot of time getting a new head on his cab after his died, so that made for some Pantera, Slayer, Iron Maiden, and a couple other short covers :)

All in all, it was an interesting tour. Spokane was fun, Portland was... interesting, and Seattle was just a bummer, but it is what it is. I'd definitely have to say that the highlight for me was hanging out with my lady in Portland and having her see us two nights in a row :)

Welp, been a few months since I've updated this bad boy, so for those of you that enjoy reading, here ya go with some updates!

We opened for Morbid Angel last month, and it was crazy awesome. The crowd was nuts, so loud and energetic, and we sold out of a lot of our merch :rocker:. I was watching the video back, and there was a person or two up in the bar booing us throughout our whole set... kinda funny :). Anyway, here are a few videos from that show!

So now that that show is over with we are taking a short break. I am working on recording for my 2 other bands, and then we should be back in full force by the end of January to finish writing for our next album!

In other news, we have a small advertisement in the latest issue of Singapore's "Heavy Metal Tribune" magazine. Pretty awesome, my friend from there hooked us up with it and paid for the ad :rocker:. We are on page 15, near the end.

Not much going on, just getting back into practicing and writing. Got a couple shows coming up. In June we are playing a WADM/NYDM "Remember The Fallen" outdoor festival for all who have passed, we headline day 1, should be a load of fun! After that, in July, we play out in the middle of nowhere for the Night Spirit 3 Festival. I wasn't took stoked about it at first, but it seems like it'll be a cool happening.

Other then that, I made our Dissection cover that we did (4 years ago) finally available to the public on YouTube, check it out!

We are now seeking a bassist.

Sadly, our bassist decided it was best for him to leave while he gets his career in line. So... if anyone knows any bassists in the Seattle area, let us know! :rocker:

Updates updates updates

We got a new bassist, Shevin Mycon, and he fits with us SO WELL! Debuted him at our show this past Saturday and it was a great time. Got some footage of our whole set as well, so I'll be posting those as I get them uploaded :rocker:

Both of our full length albums are now available through Ominous Domain. Ominous Domain is a GREAT CD distro with tons of great (and often rare) albums on it at VERY good prices. Easy to work with, great shipping, definitely one of the best! While you're there be sure to pick up Dalla Nebbia's debut, "The Cusp of the Void" as well :rocker:

About a month ago we parted ways with our bassist (I wonder how many times I've posted about us being without a bassist in this thread....) and putting all of our focus into finishing the next album, now. We have jammed with a couple bassists to see how they do with writing music and coming up with bass lines, and both have been really good!

So anyway, taking a break from playing live until this album is recorded. We have 6 songs written, working on the 7th, and have ideas for the last one :rocker:

Always good to take a break. Sounds like you guys are doing the same thing we are. No more live shows for the rest of the year. Just relaxing a bit and writing/recording stuff for splits and whatnot.

Sometiems thats even more fun than playing tons of shows. Just sit back, jam, throw ideas around, joke around, play partial cover songs to kill time. I love playing shows and being on stage, especially when its a fun crowd/venue, but after a while hauling gear back and forth and practicing the same songs over and over can be especially draining. We also have a really good lineup right now for the first time in a LONG time (if not ever...) where all of us are not only musically but personally on the same level, so its fun to just kick back and hang out and doesn't feel like another job :)

... I mean... FUCK YA HAIL SATAN!!! RITUALS AND SHIT!
