Yep, no way I'm gonna be able to make it out to Joliet on a monday. Another tour I can't hit up. Damn. AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE TO SEE RINGS OF SATURN.

Would love this to come here, mainly for Decapitated and Fleshgod Apocalypse. Ah well.

Hopefully Rings of Saturn gets into a bus crash.

My band, Funeral Age, will be opening the Seattle date. We will have tickets very soon for like... $15 or something :D

NECROROB! I think I still have your number, you know where to go to get your tickets :D

Oh shit, you're right! Wondering if this is worth the trek out to Joliet, though, since I'd need to take the metra. Perhaps. I'll consider it.

Smart man. Unfortunately, you're probably right. I wish more tours had just one or 2 openers, so each band would get at least 45 mins. I still wanna hit the Montreal show if I can get the night off. Never seen Decapitated live before.

I don't care how short their set is, I'm never going to miss an opportunity to see Fleshgod Apocalypse live.

If I go to Summer Slaughter, I most likely won't go to this. The trip to Joliet and back wouldn't be worth it for me.

I'll have to wait and see about going to this one. Has anybody ever been to Mojoes in Joliet??

I'm not so excited about a short FA set. I'll probably wait till the day of to decide if I want to go.

This.

Plus it's Decrepit Birth who always own face, and it's not as though Decapitated's new lineup and material is that bad.

It says 10/7 at The Clubhouse in Tempe. That can't be right; as far as I know, Evergrey is playing there that night.

No, but I've heard mixed stuff about it. To be honest, I don't know if I like Decapitated enough in its current iteration to trek out to Joliet to see this. I'd have to skip class, anyway, which makes it worse. If it were at Reggie's, I wouldn't think twice about going down to see it.

Last time Decrepit Birth was 2nd on a bill they only played for 25 minutes. I also wouldn't expect too many old songs from Decapitated.

Commented DECAPITATED guitarist Waclaw "Vogg" Kieltyka: "I'm here to tell everybody that the tour starts the 30th of September and we will play the biggest cities through the 30th of October. This tour is together with death metal beasts DECREPIT BIRTH, new death metal visionaries from Italy FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, and two new acts RINGS OF SATURN and THE HAARP MACHINE. It will be a great death metal party for sure!!! DO NOT MISS THIS!!!!!!!! On this tour we will play every song from the new album, 'Carnival Is Forever', together with old classics."

In other words, if you do not like the new album then this tour is not for you. I like the new material, but I do like the old stuff more.

EDIT:

10/23/11 Peabody’s – Cleveland, OHAw, fuck me. I'm supposed to be out of town that whole week. Shitballs. :bouville:

Probably gonna have to miss this. I already asked off for Opeth, so I will probably have to work on the closest date to me.

I went to Mojoes in April to see Carnifex, Oceano, Tony Danza Tapdance, and Within The Ruins. Its a really small venue with it actually having a second venue on the top floor. It does have two huge metal beams almost in the middle though so pits can be dangerous. The stage is small and only a few feet off the ground and theres a huge staircase right next to the stage.

Also unless its a 21+ show the bar area stays closed so they only serve water and pop. Overall its a decent venue just extremely small and can only hold a few hundred. Id say the floor area is just about the size of Reggies.

Predicting setlist now...

New Album
A Poem About an Old Prison Man
Day 69
Winds of Creation
Mother War
Spheres of Madness

Other songs they might play: Visual Delusion, Post (?) Organic, Invisible Control, The Fury.

It'll probably be fun for those who haven't seen them before (and obviously those who enjoy the new album), but I doubt they will pull out anything special.

I just saw that the lineup for this tour except for Decapitated is hitting up Santa Barbara on October 9th. I wonder if they are still playing the Mexico show that day.

Some Sumerian band. I was disappointed because I originally thought it was the Housecore band HAARP(wouldn't have made any sense on the lineup, but would've been cool)
