Swedish metallers IN FLAMES have released the following statement:

"It is with huge regret that today with immediate effect IN FLAMES must cancel their current U.S. shows as part of the Rockstar [Energy Drink] Mayhem Festival and their own U.S. headline shows. But due to a serious terminal illness of one the bandís immediate family members, they feel they have no option.

"We have had the most amazing and fun times as part of the Rockstar Mayhem Festival and we are truly grateful for all the support the whole festival has shown

"We will be back at the start of 2012.

"Once again, our apologies."

I'd rather have a new post than resurrect the the old Mayhem thread.

I guess it will all depend on what bands are free. I wouldn't be suprised to see Hatebreed get the In Flames slot with Jasta pulling double duty.

Testament
Down
Arch Enemy
Chimaira

Possiblitities are endless depending on which bands are available.

Not a chance, Rob and Matt are on tour with Six Feet Under (Summer Slaughter).

It'll probably be Testament or Hatebreed. I'll be greatly surprised if otherwise.

Hmm, wonder if that KC offdate with trivium and KOS is still going. If it is but they don't put someone good in in flames place, Imma skip it

If it's Testament then I'll probably buy a ticket for the Va Beach show this Tuesday just to see them and Megadeth.

If it was Hatebreed they are already playing DTE, So what would happen then.

My condolences.

isn't mayhem almost over? what'd be the point of adding a band?

Leave the spot open so people can chill? Or give the Jager band their time slot...

Wondering same thing. I want to see KOS but not if that means Trivium headlining or half ass headliner. Ticketmaster still shows its on but that doesn't always mean a lot.

I would assume they would just push Trivium into the headlining spot for the off-dates if they don't find a replacement for In Flames on the tour.

Sanitarium78
07-31-2011, 05:10 PM
I wouldn't worry about a replacement and just let Machine Head and Trivium play an extra song or two.

Yeah, what are they doing like four or five songs right now? I don't care for Trivium but since they were pretty much in the same spot as In Flames this tour both them and Machine Head should play longer.

AnataFan4Life

Testament would be awesome :rocker:

That or longer Megadeth, Machine Head, and Trivium sets.

My thoughts exactly. They would have to pay another band and put in a lot of work, for no real profit. No refunds are going out due to one less band performing, and very few people will buy tickets over one band being added.... Maybe a few would, but not enough to cover the expense of paying the extra band.

My guess is MH will continue headlining the sidestage, maybe add another a song. Trivium will continue opening the main stage, since In Flames was going to transfer there Aug 3rd.

Sadly that's what I'm afraid of. I like Trivium but not enough to want to see them headline.

My guess right now is that they will either replace them with either Testament or Hatebreed, or they will extend the set times of some of the other bands.

Steev
08-01-2011, 01:31 AM
went yesterday and that note was posted on all the gates(kicking myself for not watching their whole set at Holmdel)

the set times were exactly the same and they had some band made up of Metal Mulisha guys fill in their slot, my guess is they just do that the rest of the portion where they were scheduled to play the Jager stage and maybe even keep Trivium on main

From Kingdom of Sorrows FB page.

We're sorry to announce that our show today in Charlotte, NC has been canceled due to a family emergency in the In Flames camp. Our hearts go out to the In Flames guys

Looks like Machine Head got moved to main stage. Trivium is on the Revolver stage now, and some band called the Athiarchists are headlining the Jager Stage.

Otherwise it looks like Trivium will still be on Main

So incase you weren't aware, the band Athiarchists has been playing on a seperate stage during Metal Mulisha's shows at the Mayhem Fest. Now with In Flames gone, they're taking on the Jager Stage. Here's the schedule for August 2nd, 3rd, 9th-14th

Jager Band - 1:45
Red Fang - 2:35
Kingdom of Sorrow - 3:35
Unearth - 4:35
The Athiarchists - 5:45
REVOLVER STAGE:
Straight Line Stitch - 2:05
All Shall Perish - 3:05
Suicide Silence - 4:05
Machine Head - 5:05
ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE:
Trivium - 6:20
Megadeth - 7:15
Godsmack - 8:30
Disturbed - 9:55

and here's the schedule for August 5th -7th

JAGERMEISTER STAGE:
Jager Band - 1:45
Red Fang - 2:30
Kingdom of Sorrow - 3:30
Unearth - 4:30
HATEBREED - 5:30
REVOLVER STAGE:
The Athiarchists - 2:05
Straight Line Stitch - 3:00
All Shall Perish - 4:00
Suicide Silence - 5:00
ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE:
Machine Head - 6:20
Megadeth - 7:15
Godsmack - 8:30
Disturbed - 9:55

I think they'll probably move Athiarchists to down on the bill and have Unearth headline the Jager Stage on the dates Hatebreed aren't there.

The August 3rd date has Machine Head on the main stage if I remember correctly.
