Lucky bastard. Where did you meet him? Was he hanging around the merch booth? I'm going to the San Diego show tomorrow and I hope I can meet him, I'll get to meet the guys from Fleshgod again for sure.

Yep. I was looking for Chris Barnes (bastard said he'd be there) throughout the whole Darkest Hour set, and leaving, bumped into him. Shame the photo I took of us is really dark and shitty :(

That sucks, that's how the first photo I got with Tony Lazaro of Vital Remains turned out. Luckily I got a second one that turned out a lot better.

Wait wait, let me get this straight:

One of the best, longest running, and most important modern metalcore bands out there, Darkest Hour, got a lower score than one of the most bland and unoriginal deathcore clone bands to ever take a shit on this earth, Oceano? Whaaaaa...

UGH AND EVERY TIME I SEE THAT BLACK DAHLIA SET MY HEART SKIPS A BEAT. CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS CONCERT!

'Cause our Ruissian comrade has seen them in an insane venue on the rail before where everybody was stagediving and surfing and I think he broke his arm because it was so insane. So he's scarred by that experience and thinks that since this concert wasn't as good as that one, it must only be an 8. :tp:

He said he'd stand by the merch tables and meet the fans but apparently he didn't. On the other hand, the guy from Dying Fetus didn't say he would, but just came down and started having beers with us.

My biggest issue with this tour is that they constantly recycle the same bands over and over again. Half of this year's lineup has done the tour already. They need to try and freshen things up a bit next year. There's plenty of bands who would fit that haven't played it yet.

This is my wall post on SS's Facebook:

Consider any of these bands for the '12 edition: Bloodbath, Hate Eternal, Origin, Cannibal Corpse, Obscura, Behemoth, 1349, Skeletonwitch, Meshuggah, Sepultura, Hypocrisy, After The Burial, Revocation, Deicide, Napalm Death, Carcass, At The Gates, 3 Inches of Blood, or Heaven Shall Burn.

Did Powerglove do anything special?

Well, they threw pink blow-up swords into the audience for them to fight each other.

They water-gunned people in the front-row (including yours truly).

They threw a bird representing Storm Eagle into the crowd and told us that whoever brought it's severed head to them after their performance at the merch tables would get free shit.

They dumped bags of Starburst onto the audience, none of which I caught. :bouville:

Seriously. Even beyond those bands, there are a plethora of bands that could easily be on the bill for this and yet they keep using the same bands. When was the last time they had a completely fresh lineup even?

The Faceless was on 2007 and 2008, so technically they haven't had a fresh lineup since the first one.

Are you trying to go to the Worcester date? There is 1 local band playing before the tour package and the show starts at 3:30, I would assume Dying Fetus would go on around 6:15-6:30.

Nope, I'm hitting the Montreal date. They usually have a local band or 3 play before, so I'mm just gonna assume they start @ 6, and show up around 5.
