Go ahead and laugh, but it was totally worth it to see the awesome sets from For Today & The Ghost Inside. After the Burial, In This Moment, IWABO, and Born of Osiris were cool, too. I did not like Motionless in White, For All Those Sleeping, or Sleeping With Sirens at all.

Before I get to the setlists... I left before Alesana and Emmure. I have seen Emmure a few times & do not like them. I've never even heard of Alesana. How are they? What did I miss?

Good choice on leaving before emmure. I would have only gone to see the ghost inside and iwrestledabearonce. Everything else I do not like especially for today. I just can't handle bands that want to preach for 10 minutes between songs. Believe what you want but don't tell me what I need to believe in. Plus their music just didn't do anything for me when I saw them.

Glad you enjoyed the bands you saw.

Standard Ghost Inside setlist, but what should I expect? They kick serious ass. Cool For Today set, also. They're a solid band. Born of Osiris is great live, too, even though I don't care for them on record. No After The Butial set makes me a sad panda though. T_T

Oh, and Alesana is a shitty screamo/whiny/crabcore gehfags band, so you did the right thing by missing them. I can't believe you liked In This Moment, either.

Also: In what order did Born of Osiris/After the Burial/For Today/IWABO play? Since if what I saw was correct, IWABO was playing over all of them. If it went by level of popularity, it should have been BOO/ATB/For Today/IWABO, and if it went in order of who was actually the best band, it should have been ATB/For Today/BOO/IWABO.

Anyway. Cool to see that someone went to this tour, since I resolutely decided not to. All the bands I'd like to see got short sets probably, and I'd have to sit through a lot of crap. AND I would have had to sacrifice a whole day or pay at work, which is never worth it.

and an Emmure set would have been a little cool i guess

I'm actually surprised you don't like Born of Osiris that much.

"Oh Lord, Forgive them, for they know not what they do."

Yep. I remember discovering them way back in the day in like, 2007, by accident on the same day that I discovered the Faceless. The New Reign was awesome, I thought. It was a lot more technical and cool than any deathcore at the time, which I loved. But all their music after that... meh. Their songs have horrible structure and style, to where I'll listen through a couple, stop, and not be able to remember a single riff or lyric I just heard. I thought The Discovery would be good, but it ended up just being super bland and boring compared to the other "great" Sumeriancore giants, After the Burial and Veil of Maya, who I shamelessly get boners for and will defend proudly. Still, BOO is fun live, and I would definitely see them again.

ALSO, it's kind of weird that TGI would close with Between the Lines. It's a fantastic song and all, but Faith or Forgiveness is like, always the perfect closer. Whatever. They're so damn good live, I can't wait to see them again.

After the Burial setlist

(forget the 1st song)
Fingers Like Daggers
Encased in Ice
Your Troubles Will Cease and Fortune Will Smile Upon You
Aspiration

Well, that's not terrible. I assume the 1st song was My Frailty, since it looks like thats all they've been opening with since the new album. Not terrible per se, but I'd much rather see Pi. Encased in Ice is pretty fucking sweet. That and Your Troubles are the best songs off of In Dreams, so that's good. I still am not a fan of Fingers Like Daggers, and feel like its one of the weakest songs off of Forging a Future Self. If I saw them, and they didn't play A Steady Decline, I would be pissed beyond belief. Their best song, by far. Not to mention either Isolation Theory, Warm Thoughts of Warfare, or Engulfed...

Aspiration/Drifts certainly aren't bad, but come on, you're leaving out some incredible songs from Rareform. Berzerker, Cursing Akhenaten, Vicious Reforming of Features, Ometh, the title track...

Disappointed with the After The Burial set

I know I'll get crap for this, but I really don't care: I saw Alesana in January and thought they were great. Very energetic on stage, and lots of crowd interaction. In short - what a metal show should be. Not all of the music is spectacular, but I liked a lot of it. Typically, I loathe all things screamo, but I thought they did a pretty good job.

I've been a fan of In This Moment since their first EP, and saw them for the first time last year. Gotta say, I was really disappointed.

Well, Emmure, of course.

You're funny. I might actually take up Ben's advice and ban you on Last.fm if you keep talking like that ;)

The Ghost Inside, After The Burial, and Born Of Osiris are the only bands worth seeing on this lineup.

Went to this tour last Saturday. It was combined with the Scream The Prayer Tour. I was pissed because the All Stars Tour was outside and STP got the inside portion of the venue. It was like 105 outside all day and sucked, but the crowd was still going crazy for every band. The Chariot fucking killed though. God(no pun) I love that band live.
