That's it, I'm going to learn all of VR's old material on drums and joining the band, because it seems that's the only way they will EVER play old material live again.

Seriously. Not even anything off Forever Underground.

The only old song I've seen them play live in recent years was Descent Into Hell back in '08 and while that was awesome, what about Forever Underground? War In Paradise? Black Magick Curse?

at least you guys are lucky enough to see them live.. they only came here in montreal once so far and it was last year at the summer slaughter with no vocals or bassist and they played 3 songs. And I wasnt there :hmm:

Don't worry about it man. In my experience (twice), they're not very good live. Of course Bloodcurse would probably disagree, seeing as he's seen them like 20 times now, but disregard him... ;)

They were pretty good live when I saw 'em. The sound was fucked up and you couldn't hear the solos, but they got people stagediving in a venue with only 20 or so people, so that was interesting. :eyes:

VR: "Can you Blastbeat?"

Garagemetal: "Yeah."

VR: "Okay, welcome to the band!"

From what I've heard it seems like their newer stuff would be harder to play than their older stuff so they SHOULD be able to to play it. But maybe I'm wrong... :hecho:

I can too. But there's no way I could do them for Vital Remains. I would get so fucking bored after a while.

What happened to that new album we were promised? Tony told me in January 2010 that by the time they were doing their summer tours in 2010, VR would be touring for the new album...

That's what I've been trying to figure out since he said there would be a new album out this February/March in an interview last summer. Since then, there has been no shred of news about it whatsoever.

It's written, as far as when it'll be recorded, even that I don't know haha

I'm pretty sure it's a matter of getting a stable lineup. Right now, I think Tony and Gator are the only ones committed to VR.

Do you know if they are signed to a record label right now?

I think it's gonna be released around the same time as the new Necrophagist album
