Ok this is the dreaded "big news coming soon" that was posted on Ministry's Facebook page:

"Uncle Al will have a major announcement, exclusive to Facebook - regarding MINISTRY, in the coming weeks... IF the debt ceiling is raised."

http://www.facebook.com/#!/Ministry

Could just be bullshit and they announce some new re-released ablums or something. Maybe new album? Maybe a tour? One off show? Return w/ Paul Barker. I'm just throwing out ideas. Hopefully Al would want to go out in a better style than the C U LaTour which wasn't awful but as everyone has commented on here very disapointing. I thought the last 3 albums he did were as good as any thing Al has ever done.

Might be bullshit false hope (ahem..2010 Ozzfest) but if theres acutally something to talk I would figure it'd be good news.

Goddamit. I think I found it already. Fucking buzzkill.

Ministry‘s 1992 outing, which is most commonly known as “Psalm 69: The Way To Succeed And The Way To Suck Eggs“, will receive a release on 180 gram vinyl through WEA on August 30th.

Well the last one only included material from their 3 latest albums and 3 older songs, so I can't say you missed much.

I remember being really excited that I would get to see Ministry one last time, and then I came across the setlist in disbelief. I really thought they would have played way more songs spanning their career. The last 3 albums aren't bad, but honestly that is not what the fans wanted to hear for the final ministry tour.

An actual tour seems like a long shot, but anything can happen I guess. I was only able to see them once in '06 on the MasturbaTour and while that show was awesome, one time simply isn't enough

I think there is actually hope for Ministry coming back!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yjQtOK0DQg&feature=related

There's only 1 thing that doesn't make sense. The description of the video says "In an interview last night 09/15/2010 Al Jourgensen said "the world is a shitty place without ministry". Almost to the date of the last sucker release in 2007 Jourgensen quoted saying "A world without ministry list like a junky without heroin, its beginning to rot the world inside out" Jourgensen plans on working on a new ministry album the winter of 2011."

I don't really understand this but maybe there still might be hope. The video says they'd get back together if they reach 100,000 comments on the YouTube video. So the intelligence that is Ministry fans decide to flood the facebook page w/ comments instead. Jesus christ, who knew the English language was so tricky? This might just be a whole lot of nothing. The interview Al did last year say "The world is a shittier place w/o Ministry". This might just be alot of smoke up the collective Minstry fan's ass as well.

The only good album is the first one. Will he bring back the faux British accent?

Some joker dressing up like Jourgensen and putting on a shitty Bill Hicks voice, and you're reading ANYTHING into it? I bet Jourgensen posted that on his Faceache page as a joke.

I blame my excitement on posting that. Had I looked a little closer I wouldn't even have posted it. Sadly I should have known better than to react on something that's probably shit.

Its official. Ministry is doing Wacken next year. Hopefully there will be a tour/new album in 2012 and atleast go out on a higher note than the C U LaTour. http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=161658

Retirements in metal are as believeable as retirements in sports & pro wrestling. Just glad they're back.

I'll agree that hopefully now they can go out on a higher note that C U L8 Tour, but I'm sick of all these bands retiring and coming back to tarnish their legacies. Hopefully Ministry's not the same.

In all actuallity, between Psalm 69 and Animostisomnia the band took an average of three to four years between albums (Psalm 69 in 1992, Filth Pig in 1996, Dark Side...in 1999 and Animositisomnia in 2003), and I was younger then and didn't follow tours or anything, so it was like the band disappeared during all those periods in between. So this return in 2012 after the last album in 2007, it's just like another long lull in Ministry inactivity for me.
