Drinking an Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout right now. Best beer in the world.

In about an hour I'm gonna make some roasted bone marrow with parsley salad and wash it down with a Delirium Nocturnum. Second best beer in the world. ;)

Old Rasputin is amazing, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite since I only consider it a "once in a while" beer. Too heavy and potent to drink on a regular basis. My vote would go to either Rogue Dead Guy Ale or Stone Ruination IPA.

I'll probably do something quick and easy for dinner tonight, but I think I'll get some chicken or pork chops to marinate for tomorrow.

By this logic, Sam Adams Boston Lager might be my favorite since it's kind of a "go-to," but admitting that makes me feel like an inferior beer snob.

This will be a great thread.Yes. However, I will be stopping by often to post the single word "Chipotle" whenever I eat there. It'll happen every few days or so. Sometimes, it may even happen multiple times per day. You're all going to get so sick of it, you'll start hating me and eventually there will be a cause taken up to get me banned from the site.

This I predict.

Yes. When I'm at school, I have to eat the same stuff every single day. Since I'm home for the summer, and I actually have a stove and access to a grocery store, I've been cooking more stuff. I didn't plan all that on Sunday night, but if I find cool recipes or deals on meat, I like to plan ahead.

Double Double, twice cooked fries and a drink. A solid decision.

It's definitely one of the better fast food joints out there, but its legend is played up a little bit. Some people go in there expecting the best meal they've ever had, and it isn't quite like that.I'll betcha Five Guys is just as good, if not better.

I have heard so many incredible things about that place... Why do I live in the Midwest?!

I hate being kansas city, WE HAVE NOTHING.

I barely had anything to eat that day. And you must not eat Chipotle very often, anyone who eats it at least semi frequently doesn't get full of it that easily. When I first started eating their I could barely finish one burrito, now I could eat 2 if I wanted to.

I don't understand that..I eat there often enough..and that would kill me

I eat there around 3-5 times per week, sometimes more, and I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. What you say may be true for you, but to imply that it's true for everybody that eats there is just silly.

Which reminds me...

Hot as fuck beef heart taco salad. I cooked the beef heart with a seasoning of chili powder, cumin, roasted pepper flakes, garlic, and paprika. Then I threw in some chopped up jalapenos from my garden, with some locally-grown serrano peppers, onion, more garlic, and homegrown tomatoes. Threw all of that shit in a bowl with lettuce and salsa. My lips are scalded. So hot. So delicious.

Burrito bowls are like six bucks, guys. I know you are poor college students right now, but six or seven bucks for a meal is really NOT a big fucking deal to someone who has graduated from college and has a decent job.

As far as how my body survives it, Brad - like I said, I actually LOSE WEIGHT with Chipotle in my diet, because if you order the right thing, you can get a damn good meal for about 600-700 calories, and not too many grams of fat or carbs - plus, the meat and beans provide a good source of protein for training. Seriously - it's like some of the best "fast food" you can possibly eat if you choose wisely. (FYI, Subway is a decent "second choice" that I do make occasionally.)

Nat, dude there is more food out there than Chipotle. Besides, don't they have any good Mexican restaurants hiding in stripmalls up north?See above response explaining the choice of Chipotle over other fast food joints. I often find myself needing to make a fast food choice, and in my mind it will almost always be Chipotle unless something better comes along.

Plus, it is THE FOOD OF THE FUCKING GODS, so you just shut it.

...and as far as whether or not there are good Mexican places up north or however you put it...yes. Nuevo Acapulco, Mi Pueblo and Luchita's are all quite good, but the question is rather moot because it's not generally good Mexican food that I'm seeking, it's a healthy fast food choice - and Chipotle is it, man.

All that, and I am enjoying my newly-established meme, so I'll keep eating it and posting about it like a motherfucker, thank you very little. :fingers:

It's the healthiest, but by a smaller margin than you might think. The steak is second healthiest, but to me it's a bit tough and has very little flavor. The pork is also awesome, and it's the third healthiest. Barbacoa is the least healthy of the four, but aside from the sodium content even that isn't too bad for you.

Taste-wise, barbacoa is the fucking bomb, so I get it once in a while for the hell of it. If I had your metabolism, I would probably get it every time.

The chicken is pretty awesome, though. I don't mind going that route most of the time one bit. :fist:

Ah, Unibroue. They make some good beer, and some interesting beer. Fin Du Monde is good, but avoid their Raftman beer -- although you should probably try one, it tastes like beer brewed in whiskey kegs, which is exactly what it is! Others to try if you get the chance: Mill Street, Amsterdam, Great Lakes, Big Rock, Flying Monkeys, Neustadt Springs... those are all Ontario breweries except for Big Rock which is in Alberta. Mill Street is easily my favourite, they couldn't make a bad brew if they tried!

Five Guys stomps the unholy living shit out of In & Out Burger. Seriously. It's not even close.

I mean, I liked it and all, but Five Guys is just WAY fucking better in every way.

I feel so much more happy with my life after you said that. Thanks, Nat.

Sorry, sports fans, but I wasn't impressed.

Those are good burgers, Walter.

I don't care for Five Guys that much. Had it like three times in a couple month span last year and was infatuated temporarily, but meh. Too greasy.

I'm making fish and chips at home to try to fill the void in my soul. This will be my third fish and chips experience since I've been home from London after easily two dozen while I was there, and before I went I'd probably had it twice in my life. Fucking Anglophile for life now.

If you're gonna go that route, just go to a strip club and then a place that serves better wings.

Same. Also seems the sole criterion for waitresses there (bust size) doesn't take in other, related factors (everything else size). Give me an average-breasted non-manatee serving me much better food anywhere else in town any day.

I ate a Double Quarter Pounder from McDonalds earlier(:eyes: it was the only thing I ate all day). The main thing that I hate about McDonalds is the taste of that shit remains in your mouth for the rest of the day no matter how many times you brush your teeth or chew some gum.

So I've tried Chipotle for the first time today. I got tacos with steak, chicken, and whatever other beef. I used tabasco sauce all over and goddamn was the beef spicy. I feel like I accomplished a lifetime goal by eating all 3 without throwing up  (keep in mind I have a reflex problem). But it was great, I'd go again

I had a burger from Bobby's Burger Palace and it was absolutely delicious!!! Best burger I had in a long time. I tried their house burgers but they have so many other burger styles to choose from LA burger, Santa Fe, Miami etc.

Long Island bros go to the Smithhaven Mall and try it if you haven't.

I'm eating shredded beef tongue with spinach, homemade hot salsa, mushrooms, sweet peppers, and a coconut oil/anchovy/garlic dressing. I'm making a meatza for breakfast tomorrow: ground turkey for a crust with homegrown tomatoes for the sauce and mushrooms, spinach, and peppers on top.
