I fucking love Greek Yogurt. I'm trying out a dairy-free diet right now, but I definitely recommend that stuff. I haven't had it with peanut butter, but that would probably be heavenly.

i love to snack on the stuff w/ a little honey & cinnamon, but the local supermarkets dont carry the 100% fat versions that ive seen elsewhere, only the zero and 2% versions :hmm:

We've been over this already, several pages back. Nobody ever said Chipotle is good Mexican. It's just damn good food. Period. If I want Mexican, I'll go someplace where barely anyone speaks English. If I want healthy fast food that tastes great, I'm going to Chipotle. It has nothing - ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING - to do with Mexico.

I wasn't trying to argue what Chipotle's business strategy was. Frankly, I don't give a fuck what they may or not be trying to sell and to whom. All I know is, I go there because they have healthy fast food that I love. Not for one hot second while I'm there do I think to myself "damn, this is some great Mexican food". I know full well that Chipotle is about as far away from good Mexican food as peanut butter and jelly is. I was responding to your implication that Chipotle's customers are like mindless sheep who go there thinking they're getting good Mexican food, because while I can't speak for anyone but myself, that's certainly not what I think.

It's not worse IMO.

The appeal of Yuengling is that it's a real in-betweener beer IMO. As in, it's in between the price range of the better beers and the crap beers like Coors/Bud Lite - and it's in between taste-wise as well. But it comes much closer to the good beer taste than it does to the bad beers by a long shot.

Over here at least, a 12 pack of Yuengling is 4 bucks less than a 12 pack of Sam Adams and it sure as heck doesn't taste 4 bucks cheaper.

That's actually a fairly conclusive indication that this restaurant, or chain, or whatever it is, may be under intensive FDA and CBP watch.

Given that, you could very well be supporting, or your company could be supporting (if all these chicken bowls are on your company's dime) Spanish terrorism, the Basque National Liberation Movement, or even worse, smuggling.

For people that don't follow me on twitter or facebook, I'm home for the weekend and am fully utilizing my kitchen.

Last night was apple dijon bison burgers with roasted pumpkin. Breakfast today was roasted pumpkin with honey and fauxtmeal made of almonds/pecans with organic peanut butter and almond milk. Late lunch was a T-bone steak with butter, grilled onions, and broiled white asparagus. For dinner, I'm going to Applebee's for a small steak, broccoli, and a beer. Dessert is a pumpkin pie/cheesecake that I made earlier today.

Tomorrow's going to bring quinoatmeal (quinoa oatmeal), undecided lunch, and an oxtail, beef tongue, pig foot stew over cauliflower rice, with herb garlic mashed cauliflower.

Sunday is probably going to be buckwheat groatmeal, swordfish steak and crawfish for lunch, and chicken/avocado sandwich with spinach/pine nut bread for dinner.

The deep-fried turkey was GREAT. It took about 20 minutes to get the oil to 400 degrees, and then each turkey took about 30 minutes to cook thoroughly.

My brother picked up a lot of tips from this guy named Alton Brown who has a show on the Food Network. So I would recommend maybe checking out some YouTube videos of him or something if you're serious about having your next turkey deep-fried. We also cooked them in the backyard, because it can potentially be quite a fire hazard.

Figured this would be fitting to post here:

Last week, I had another kidney stone. It was my third one, and I'm pretty young. Obviously, something is wrong with my body and how it processes food, so I went in to meet with a urologist this morning. Turns out I have to radically change my diet and cut out food with high oxalate content or I could be expecting them regularly for the rest of my life.

Nuts, chocolate, chili peppers, fried potateos, spinach, fat milk, chocolate, cocoa, pretzels, whole wheat, peanut butter, rasberries, strawberries, beans, carrots, celeary, hot chocolate, most teas, and draft beer. Gone. Every time I partake of that, I risk getting a stone. Foods I need to eat in extreme moderation include grape juice, cranberry juice, yogurt, apples, coconut, oranges, pinapples, corn starch, tortillas, broccoli, corn, onions, tomatoes, mustard, bagels, white bread, pears, and more.

This is just... damn. Changing my life. I've lived on peanut butter from day 1, and some of my favorite fruits are ones I have to cut out. Kind of surreal this is happening.

What I usually do is mix half a scoop of whey protein with two egg whites and just cook it on a hot skillet like a pancake and then top it off with some peanut-butter and honey :D

Makes for a great post-workout meal :blaze:

Heat destroys whey protein, fyi. At least that's what I've read when people ask about adding it to their coffee.

Separate though: this morning, I ate a duck abortion breakfast. Coincidentally, that is the title of Mogwai's next single.

Not much of a recipe really. I picked it up on BodyBuilding.com two weeks back.
What I usually do is mix half a scoop of whey protein with two egg whites and just cook it on a hot skillet like a pancake and then top it off with some peanut-butter and honey :D

Makes for a great post-workout meal :blaze:By the way, I finally tried this. Not bad. Kinda chewy, but the flavor is OK. I kinda burned the first one, because that stuff doesn't cook like regular pancake batter. It's a great way to get some extra protein while fooling your brain into thinking you're eating some carbs ;) (which are all but verboten during Phase 1 of P90X).

The aforementioned Zin Burger
El Charro (sort of the "signature" Mexican restaurant in town)

Or just find a taco truck.

I haven't either, largely because there just aren't any around here. The only time I've ever even encountered them is in NYC, where everything is more expensive than it is everywhere else. I also don't usually get experimental with new food when on concert road trips, I have to go with what I know. But they're putting in a Chipotle in my town soon, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time now.
