Finally got to see YOB since they never tour, and it was everything I expected it to be and more. They came out with a ton of energy, played about an hour and a half, and even played two new songs from the upcoming record (which, I have heard, Scott Kelly from Neurosis appears on a couple tracks).

1. Quantum Mystic
2. (New Song)
3. Burning the Altar
4. (New Song)
5. Grasping Air
6. Doom #2
7. The Great Cessation

Closing this set with the Great Cessation was pretty intense, clocking in at 20 minutes or so. If you have the chance to see these guys, do so immediately.

One of the new songs probably was "Prepare the Ground"... Seeing this next thursday, can't wait! Also, was Dark Castle good?

I had never listened to them before and I actually really enjoyed their set. Super heavy for being just two people

I'm just getting into YOB, but seeing them live would be awesome.

Anyone who's seeing them in Toronto next weekend, make sure you get there for local opener Sons of Otis. I saw them about 12 years ago and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life. I'm not too much a fan of YOB or I'd go to this show, I don't think 30 minutes of Otis live would be enough. Headliner or NOTHING.

This. Not sure what the name means or stands for but if they had a cooler name I'm betting I would have been a HUGE fan a long time ago.

Replace Doom #2 with Ball of Molten Lead, and it would pretty much be an ideal setlist. Can't wait for the Raleigh show.

I saw this at the Seattle date. I left after YOB's first song, they were ok. I also caught some crackheads attempting to steal the tire off of my van, good thing I left.

Dark Castle was amazing. I really want to catch them again.

Funny you say that, I was dying to hear Ball of Molten Lead, haha. It's probably my favorite YOB track, but still, I had zero complaints about their setlist. Plus, the new songs sounded pretty awesome

From what I could see for YOB, they had vinyls of Great Cessation and Catharsis and what looked like one t shirt design for sale along with some other minor goodies I believe like stickers or something. I only glanced because I have both those vinyls and typically don't buy merch at shows

Thanks for the info, I'll probably pick up a vinyl or two
