View Full Version : Gregg Allman -- London, England -- July 1st, 2011

07-02-2011, 05:29 PM
Low Country Blues Tour
Venue: Barbican Centre

Missed the start of the set because the venue didn't publish set times in advance and we totally underestimated how early he'd be on, and how early he'd finish (22:15 - !!). So don't know how much we missed, but judging by his previous sets that have followed almost the same setlist as this, we probably missed about five songs, and to be honest, the set was really rather boring, so we didn't much care either.

<unknown songs>
You Must Be Crazy (Floyd Miles vocals)
These Days
I Can't Be Satisfied
Before The Bullets Fly
Back To Daytona (Floyd Miles vocals)
Ridin' Thumb
Midnight Rider
Whippin' Post
Floating Bridge
Statesboro Blues

Expecting Warren Haynes on Tuesday to be far, far better.

So he just tours under his name now and gave up trying to be advertised as the Allman Brothers? I would like to see him perform one day but wouldn't spend the money. RIP Duane

I think Allman Brothers are around still but Gregg just released a Solo disc this year. So it makes sence if this is a 'solo' gig. Haynes needs to be playing guitar for this man, and TRUCKS!! wow both of them slay.

Yeah, the ABB tour all the time. They just never leave the US.

Gregg's solo shows have been a real novelty because he just never, ever tours internationally. And yeah, pretty much everything you see there that isn't an ABB song is off his new album 'Low Country Blues'.

Haynes will be better on Tuesday. I am certain of it.
