...that you you keep coming back to.

I'm sure all of us on here listen to a ton different songs/albums every day, but there's that one song you've been listening to recently that's in heavy rotation. I'm sure it changes weekly or even daily, but what's the one bad ass song you can't get out of your head and have to hear again soon?

Mine is:

Enbound: Combined the Souls (http://youtu.be/qR-2mWEG5yI)

I can't listen to albums in full. I don't know if I have a short attention span, or the fact that I'm never sitting still for a full 40-60 minutes at a time. Plus, there are so few albums that don't have a few shitty tracks tacked on at the end nowadays.

I go through this can't-put-it-down phenomenon with albums quite regularly, and I guess right now it's been with Priest's Hell Bent for Leather, The National's Boxer and Fucked Up's David Comes to Life.

I also listen to albums in full. For me right now it's DTP's Deconstruction, Radiohead's In Rainbows, Interpol's Turn On The Bright Lights, Dream Theater's Scenes from A Memory, and Revocation's Existence Is Futile. :horns:

At the moment:

Enchant - Ultimate Gift
Symphony X - When All is Lost
Borealis - Fall From Grace
Malison Rogue - Friend or Foe?

Generally I'm a "full albums" kind of person as well, and for that:
Symphony X - Iconoclast (on regular rotation for 2 weeks now)
Enchant - Blink of an Eye
Billy Joel - Songs in the Attic
Malison Rogue - Malison Rogue
Savatage - The Dungeons are Calling / Power of the Night

Slipknot-(Sic)

Good memories with this song. It was the first "real" metal song I ever heard, other than Metallica. It really changed how I viewed music, and how aggressive it could get.

I know, I've re-kindled a lot of memories lately with this. It's been the show-opener for both Slipknot gigs I've attended this week, and it's fucking awesome to headbang to after so many years of listens.

I love full albums as much as the rest of you, but c'mon, most albums aren't consistently great all the way through. There's gotta be at least one song that stands out among the pack.

For me, that song is The Black Dahlia Murder's "Moonlight Equilibrium" :eyes: don't hate me...

To me, it's less that every single song on the album is good, it's that I demand each song to be in context with the rest of the band's material. For some reason, I don't feel right if I listen to song 2 before listening to song 1, etc.

As for me...
I pretty much spin either Dopethrone or Holy Mountain once every day

God is an Astronaut - Everything
Alcest - Écailles De Lune
Altar of Plagues - Mammal
Anaal Nathrakh - Passion
Moonlit Sailor - Colors in Stereo (seriously can't stop listening to this)

Yes all the riffs in that song are great, but the fast riff after the opening (around the 0:45 second mark) gets my head banging harder than most riffs.

Never been a big Death Metal fan.But you knew enough to know that the subject song does indeed sound like old Entombed, so we'll give you a break this time. ;)

For me, the new Origin album has been in pretty heavy rotation lately. On a medium-term basis, I've played the shit out of the new Grayceon and SubRosa albums since their release earlier this year. On a long-term basis, I can't seem to go more than a week or so without listening to all or most of Isis's masterpiece "Oceanic".
