Hmm. Opeth could be better; The Grand Conjuration is my least favorite song from Ghost Reveries. Master's Apprentices is always sick, though.

Parkway Drive and Terror had pretty good sets, too.

Slipknot set is actually fucking great! Holy shit! I would love to see that set live. And I assume they brought out the creepy fucking body of Paul Gray again... :eyes:

Yeah, Slipknot did bring out Paul Gray's puppet. :eyes: Mikael gave this heart-felt speech (almost crying, actually) about how touched and glad he was that at a festival like Graspop, where "bands much more entertaining and lively onstage, who can offer much more material in the time they're given are playing at the same time as Opeth", and there will still be a marquee full of an audience waiting to see them. He said there's to be a September/October/November European tour, but that's a bit peculiar considering their US dates.

No, it was an exclusive two hour laser show set. Ozzy cancelled his headlining set because of laryngitis so Priest got to extend their set. Halford was great :rocker:
Triptykon was quite awesome. I didn't like the Jew cap he had on, although.
>They were playing right before Mastodon (a mainstage band) so I needed to keep my rail spot. Well, I am seeing them next week anyway but fuck it.
I agree! :agree:

Wow, of all the sets that I care about, I can't find one that isn't great. Electric Wizard playing both Dopethrone and Funeralopolis must have been amazing. Great Watain and Triptykon sets too.

Whitesnake wasn't the worst - but it was pretty bad. Protest the Hero, Whitesnake, and Rob Zombie were all dissapointing.

You're welcome, I just posted that onto Setlist.FM.

I got so splattered man - when I walked out of that tent I was completely dyed red! My hair was still tinted during Slipknot (quite some time later). Thanks for telling me to go see them! Got some good pictures together with Oderus at the autograph session too ;)

Sorry about triple post, but I had to mention that when I saw Hairspray, something quite peculiar happened. When Oliver Sykes started singing the intro to Diamonds Aren't Forever, he just came down from the stage, got up on the barrier and

:eyes: Uhhh I don't care how much I love a band, if the singer was a guy, I would not be excited to have my nose go up his asshole during their set. I mean, if the singer of Paramore wanted to sit on my face during the set, so be it, but not some dude:lol:

Decent GWAR set.
As much as I love the Beatles cover, Ghost doing that and not their second best song (Stand by Him) makes me sad.

And I'm not going to even get into BDM. If thats what they play on Summer Slaughter, I will jizz right there and then.

Duff set is wrong, he did Attitude and Dust N Bones too.

Great weekend, I will post my own review with setlists as the bands I seen and liked are very different to Brutals.

Slipknot, Korn and Rob Zombie were my bands of the weekend by far. Intense few days!

Feel free to! My favorite bands of the weekend were Opeth, Electric Wizard, Epica, Slipknot, Korn, Watain, Sepultura, Judas Priest, Mastodon, and Gwar  The rest were either good or alright, Anvil the only exception. I felt that Rob Zombie was a bit off with his vocals that night.
