According to the band's Facebook they will be entering the studio this Monday to begin recording their new album. Right now information regarding the album is sparse, but they mentioned this in a news update posted in May:

“The writing process for the new album is going very smooth. The new songs are some of the heaviest stuff we have ever written,” explains Dave. “We are all thrilled to be working with producer Daniel Castleman (Impending Doom, As I Lay Dying, Winds of Plague) at Lambesis Studios here in San Diego. I am a fan of all his recordings and feel his skills will bring our sound to where it needs to be.”

Pathology is one of the few "slam" bands I enjoy, so I'm happy to hear they are putting out new material already. However, I'm worried that the production will make it sound weak. The last album, Legacy of the Ancients, was pretty clean sounding, but this one might be over the top.

They ruled live. I'll always keep my hopes up for them. Because their single from their last album was kinda meh the first time I listened to it, but the rest of the album was great!

Taking bets on how many times I'll have to see them open for another band by the end of the year.

My guess: 5

You can blame Victory for that.

A solo in a Pathology song? I think this album might turn out better than Legacy of the Ancients! :D

I heard it the other day, the vocals are a little much. Aside from that and the breakdown-ish part, I like it. Hopefully the rest of the album is better.

The guitar solo was a nice surprise.

The deathcore-ish part after it, not so much.

Hopefully Victory doesn't turn them into a deathcore band.
