I think the return of Scott's backing vocals makes it sound more like classic Anthrax then Joey does. This song doesn't sound completely classic though, the melodic parts make it a little more modern sounding but not in a bad way.

Thanks for letting us know what album 'Gridlock' is on. If you didn't mention it the Anthrax fans here would've been clueless as to what album it was from;)

Now that the jokes are out of the way. Yes, the riff is does sound similar which isn't a bad thing. I think I like the new song better though.
