View Full Version : Warbringer/Landmine Marathon/Lazarus AD fall tour?

I saw on a few Facebook groups catering to shows in the VA/MD/DC area about two concerts Oct 15/16 with Warbringer/Landmine Marathon/Lazarus AD playing. If I had to guess, they would probably play at either Sonar, Ottobar, Krug's Place or Jaxx.

Anyone else heard about shows for those bands around that time-frame or maybe even a full tour?

Ugh. If this comes here, I might have to show up late.

Dying to see Warbringer again, though.

Landmine Marathon is by far the best band on this lineup.

I just looked at my local venue's website and although this lineup doesn't have a date here, there is a Landmine Marathon headline show with Owen Hart on August 9th for $8...But it's in the lounge. Right now the site says it's all ages, but I tend to doubt it.

Yeah Warbringer said that they were doing a headlining tour for the fall, I'm not disappointed with this since they're the ones headlining. I can see this coming to Reggies (hopefully), but it'll probably end up in the Empty Bottle and bam, I can't go because I'm not 21.

All you Warbringer haters need to step offI saw Warbringer with Vader in 2009 and liked them. Read the gig report (http://www.metalsetlists.com/showthread.php?t=11861&highlight=warbringer). I just don't think they're anywhere near as good as Landmine Marathon, and they certainly aren't the same type of music. Warbringer and Lazarus are clearly neo-thrash, and LM is clearly grind. Landmine belongs on a headlining tour of their own, in my opinion - not sandwiched on some random thrash tour.

EDIT: That said, I'd probably go to this if it came near me, tickets were cheap and the show was on a date that I was available. :eyes:

Well Reggies wouldn't surprise me either, when they played with Pestilence in June last year damn near half the crowd left after Warbringer finished... That was disappointing as hell but its good to know that they draw a huge crowd in Chicago. Problem is that it's going to be infested with 15 year olds wearing 80s white high tops thinking they were from that era, but that's a whole other story...

This probably ain't happenin' with Landmine Marathon, cuz...

"LANDMINE MARATHON Announce Summer Tour

Arizona’s LANDMINE MARATHON have announced a West coast tour starting on July 29th and concluding on August 13th. Along the way, they’ll be playing with Toxic Holocaust, label mates Holy Grail, and Owen Hart amongst others. The band just completed the follow up to 2010′s, “Sovereign Descent.” Their fourth, as of yet untitled, album, was recorded at guitarist Ryan Butler’s Arcane Digital Recording Studios, and should see a fall 2011 release.

LANDMINE MARATHON bassist Matt Martinez commented: “After taking off more than a few months to write and record our next album, we are feeling very antsy to hit the road. This trip will give us the opportunity to rage with friends new and old and ‘road test’ some of our new songs!”

The band’s confirmed dates are:
July 29 Canoga Park, CA The Cobalt Café w/ Toxic Holocaust, Holy Grail, The Krum Bums
July 30 San Diego CA The Shakedown
July 31 Ventura, CA Zoey’s Café
Aug. 2 Fresno, CA The Ranch
Aug. 3 Reno, NV Jub Jub’s Palor
Aug. 4 Sacramento CA The Fire Escape

I thought Immolation was the worst band out of all the bands I saw at Scion Rock Fest. They just didn't give me that "WOW" feeling like I got from Wormrot, Obituary, Anaal Nathraakh ect
