I recently started getting into the Bush-era Anthrax albums and I had a question about their availability. Are these all out of print now? Amazon doesn't seem to have any for sale except through third parties. Also, how would one find a remastered copy of Sound of White Noise or Stomp 442? According to Wikipedia both were remastered with bonus tracks in 2001 but I can't find those versions for sale anywhere.

The last I checked Best Buy they had every Anthrax album available. That's all the help I can give.

Bush > Belladonna

The Bush albums were backordered at BestBuy.com and Stomp 442 was going for the super low price of $48. Thanks though. I'll probably pick em up from amazon sellers in the end but I'd really like to find those remastered copies.

WOAH! $48 bucks? I saw them for $12 the last time I was there. Damn it wasn't that long ago.

Yeah Amazon is the way to go then i guess.

So how would you rank the Bush albums?

Stomp 442 is available through Play.com here for 12 euro. Myself or Ravenheart could probably pick it up for you and mail it on and you pay us the cost, could work out cheaper than the amazon prices. Just a suggestion!

So how would you rank the Bush albums?

Just my personal preference:

We've Come For You All
The Sound Of White Noise
Stomp 442
Volume 8

everything else>

The Greater of Two Evils

:hmm:

Here we go again...

I can make my points about it, but do we really want to go through this again? :D

I own every Bush era album except for Vol.8 which is pretty hard to find. I got SOWN and WCFYA used on Amazon for pretty cheap and I found Stomp 442 in the used bin at my local record store for $4.

You're not missing too much by not having Volume 8. There's a few good songs on there, but it's a pretty average album for Anthrax.

The only one I know of that should be hard to find is Volume 8 because the record compnay they were with at the time went out of buisness not too long after the release. So the album is out of print now.

Everything else, especially SOWN shouldn't be that hard to find. Honestly I hate when albums are reissued with bonus tracks because 99% of the time they aren't anything special and I wanna hear the album the original way the artist wanted you to. So I would try and save some money and just go for the regualr versions.

As for the Belladonna/Bush debate, Bush is a better singer and they do have some very good stuff with him. But the material with Belladonna is leagues better. It boggles my mind that anyone could think the Bush era is somewhow better.

Thanks for the advice guys. They're used on Amazon for pretty cheap so I'll probably go that route. I'm pretty new to Anthrax (besides the hits) but I'm liking what I'm hearing from both singers.

I think Vol. 8 is essential actually. I love some songs on that cd. 5 of the 1st 7 songs are great and the last track and hidden track ballad called Pieces are really cool too. Amongst thet 2nd half filler tracks Big Fat is a cool song too.

I'm not a metal ballad guy in any way but if I had to pick who I like the best Bush-era Anthrax would be Top 3 for sure. His voice just fits the music and sometimes the acoustic versions are actually better than the originals.

I'd personally rate them:

Sound of White Noise
Vol 8
-----------
Stomp 442
We've Come For You All
