Hold on there guy. That doesn't mean that much.

Flo is the one in control of the band's sound. It's up to him if he want to make a good album or another shitty album again.

Yes this a good sign, but sadly doesn't mean too much until FLo gets his head out of his ass.

Jon rejoined the band a few days before their show in Chicoutimi 2 weeks ago. Youri has been taking up bass duties since.

I'd say Jon is as big a songwriter in the band as Flo is. I mean, he left and look what came afterwards. :eyes:

Official statement

Hello everybody,
We have some important informative news we would like to announce.

Jon Levasseur, former lead guitarist and major creative contributing force behind None So Vile, Whisper Supremacy, And Then You'll Beg... has returned to the band. The combination of Jon and Chris Donaldson has revived the power and energy of the infamous Cryptopsy string section, without loosing the backup vocal and creative talent of Youri Raymond whom is now playing the six string bass for the rhythm section. Eric Langlois has, for now, decided to step back and take a break from the Cryptopsy family.

The reborn and fully motivated chemistry of Matt, Chris, Youri, Jon and Flo is determined to make an impact in 2011 and beyond.

Future Plans...

Shows
Etobicoke, Ontario, June 17th
Detox Rock Fest, June 18th
Heavy MTL, July 23rd
As well as many more to be confirmed

New material is in the works (with the actual lineup) and will be available to all with your support in late 2011. Meanwhile, three new songs have been completed and will soon be featured on a final Century Media release. This meaning, the future is ours and yours and promises to be true Cryptopsy.

If Flo knows what's good for him he'll let Jon take the lead in writing. I imagine that this is going to herald a turn towards their older sound. I think this is in no small part related to the massive fan backlash and their not being able to really get anywhere with their new sound.

Cryptopsy is going to have to write the best album of their lives if they can even attempt to recover from The Unspoken King.

Good news. I'm not expecting another classic, but I'd be happy w/ just a solid album.

Bogus, but at least he's still in the band. He's a cool dude.

I'd laugh if the new material is awesome and no one knows what to think of them anymore. We'll see....
