Interviewed the band for the Quietus beforehand, I'll post the link when it publishes. Show was INFUCKINGCREDIBLE. Three local openers, ranging from pretty meh to absolute terrible, but AN more than made up for it with one of the best (and loudest) sets of the year for me so far.

Drug-Fucking Abomination
Submission Is For The Weak
Volenti non fit iniuria
The Supreme Necrotic Audnance
Paragon Pariah
The Final Absolution
Bellum Omnium Contra Omnes
The Lucifer Effect
Do Not Speak
Pandemonic Hyperblast
More Of Fire Than Blood

Highlights were...honestly everything but the first two and last three songs were all pretty unfuckwithable.

Pic of me in the pub beforehand interviewing the band:

Broke my heart. That's my favorite song of theirs. But it was still incredible.

Yeah, I didn't notice it until we were looking back over the pictures at the end of the night but it's hilariously ironic.

I'm guessing its a Bastard Noise shirt since they just played with BN when they came to LA in March. It looks like my BN shirt too, just mine has green letters instead of red.

Ha, no In The Constellation of the Black Widow?

One of the best live songs I've ever seen.

I'm surprised it's out of the set. I'd love to see this though.

Answered for me. And Mick had on a King Diamond shirt. When they played they switched up shirts and Dave had on Narcosis and Mick had on Extreme Noise Terror.

PLEASE tell me Volenti produced massive orgasms.

Of course it did, but so did every song. ;)

And Mick had on a King Diamond shirt

That one's obvious from the photo.

Is that the World's End you're in?

Well excuuuuuuse me. ;)

And nah, my friends and I started out in the World's End, had a couple pints for courage, then moved to the Black Heart down the alley from there where it was quieter for the interview.

How packed was the show? Do they have a big fan base over in England? I remember at Scion rock fest there was probably less than 30 people at their stage tent(with the majority of the crowed being in the front rail or trying to push themselves on the front rails).

It was pretty packed, and definitely one of the craziest crowds I've ever seen. I'd say they easily drew 500.

Oh come on, there were maybe 30 for the beginning of the set, but once they stopped letting people into the Fox for Morbid Angel, there were easily 100 or so in there.

I wouldn't go that far. I was on the right side of the very front rail for the first 7 songs and It was pretty hectic and chaotic in the front(with one guy actually crowed surfing and making it to the stage and goin crazy with the band, ahahaha i Like how the singer gave him kudos for that and told other fans to do the same and to get on the stage) but after that I decided to chill in the back and honestly man, there definitely wasn't a 100 people. Maybe it wasn't 30, but there is no way in hell that there was over 100 people for AN. That I can guarantee you, especially because I was looking around to see how many heads showed up to their set. I would say by the end of their set there was maybe 50-60 people, but there is no way in hell that there was over a 100 people for AN.

Hmmm. After listening to Domine Non Es Dignus, I can say that this is honestly a mediocre set. Only one song from their best album? And then only one song from Hell is Empty... and two songs from In the Constellation... not including the title track. And when you add it all up, it's just over 50 minutes. I'm getting really sick of this shit; bands are getting so much lazier now.

First of all Domine Non Es Dignus is really your favorite? That's by far my least favorite Anaal Nathrakh album. I also wouldn't say that you can call this lazy at all, they brought out Supreme Necrotic Audnance and all of those Passion songs is . Also, I don't think there's a set that Anaal Nathrakh can play that will have a single person leaving the venue without going "wow." They're so good live that a 50 minute set doesn't matter, or even what they play.

Couldn't have said this better myself. I honestly almost never play that album because their other material is so much better.

Do Not Speak is a classic, though. A set without it would be pretty indefensible.

Yeah, it is. I still have yet to listen to Total Fucking Necro, Eschaton, and When Fire..., but I'd probably rank their albums like this:

Domine Non Es Dignus/In the Constellation...
Hell is Empty.../Passion
The Codex Necro

I get that point, though :agree:
Just wish they'd play longer.

Totally. One of my favorite songs from them, the rest of the album is only pretty good though.

Get on Eschaton. I love it.
