Remasters are for the most part only for bands who stopped selling records 5 years after their prime. Pink Floyd does not need remasters.

Again, look at the "immersion" editions.

This is more than just remasters.

Stupid bullshit designed to ripoff "hardcore" fans. The original Dark Side of the Moon album is all I need. If I do need anything else, I'll just watch the Classic Albums DVD.

Doesn't it get tiring being wrong all the time?

Even I'd be tempted to buy these.

Ya, the classic albums DVD really has all the extra unreleased audio and video you'll get with these new remasters.

Damn, these remasters look fucking sweet! I'm sure they'll be well worth the price.

Ok. so I decided to put my money where my mouth is and come up with a Single disc of Pink Floyd greats. This was much tougher than I thought as you can imagine b/c there's a kazillion possibilities.

So mixing some hits, with some rarities and favorites, I came up with this. I challenge you to try it yourself. You only get 80 minutes. By the time your done with Dark Side, you should be at about 90-100 minutes already, then what do you do... It's like making a fricking mix CD all over again...who does this anymore?

Now that's a remaster collection... hopefully Zeppelin will take some hints from this.

The live tracks on WYWH look awesome. I've always wanted to hear those 1974 Animals songs in good quality.

I've listened to Kylesa cover Pink Floyd more than I've listened to Pink Floyd themselves.

I've listened to the all-star Wall tribute album more times (3 or so) than the actual Wall (0).

Yeah this shit has "cash-in" written all over it. I feel genuinely sorry for the people who are taking this seriously.

No, the PREVIOUS set of re-issues with no extra material had "cash-in" written all over it.

When you're getting so much extra stuff, you're actually only paying for the extras. The original album is actually only a fraction of the product at this point.

I'm all for cynicism, as we all know, but it has its place. Not EVERY re-issue or remaster is a bad thing. To say they are is dumb.

It is cool to say highly anticipated things are lame though. That's always been true.

On the Pink Floyd front, apparently at Roger Waters' gig in London on Thursday Dave Gilmour and Nick Mason joined him on stage for 'Comfortably Numb' and 'Outside The Wall'.
