This time, I actually got to see Combichrist, AAAAAAAAAAND, I got a floor ticket. The show was phenomenal.

Combichrist

Shut Up and Swallow
Follow the Trail
Body Beat
Deathbed
Throat Full of Glass
Never Surrender
What the Fuck is Wrong With You People

Rammstein played the same set as the Madison Square Garden show. Not opposed to it, since this time, I was on the floor. They're an amazing band, and as I said in the New York show thread, I will see these guys every time they tour until they disband. Great band, GREAT show.

Rammstein

Rammleid - opening note along with all the chords in the chorus came with a loud BOOM and fireworks
B******* - Till comes out with this HUGE gun that just shoots fire
Weidmann's Hail
Keine Lust
Weisses Fleisch
Feuer Frei - so much fire
Weiner Blut - at the beginning of the song, 2 lines with babies hanging from them come down from the ceiling of the stage, all of which have these green laser lights for eyes. at the end of the song, all of them explode.
Fruhling in Paris
Ich tu Dir Weh - After Flake kicks him to the ground, Till picks the pianist up and puts him in this wheel barrow. Till then gets on this pillar that starts rising about 10 feet in the air. He then pours a bucket of what seems to be FIRE into the wheelbarrow. At the end of the song, Flake comes out of his container, dressed in this silver suit that shined brighter than any light and continues to dance like a lunatic
Du Richt so Gut
Benzin - Till brings out this gas pump (literally something that looks like a pump you'd see at a gas station) and in the middle of the song, he sets someone on fire. I think it was staged to look like someone hopped on stage and that guy got set on fire. Very intense.
Links 2-3-4
Du Hast - LOADS of fire; Till brings out a crossbow that shoots fireworks
Pussy - At the end of the song, the stagehands bring out this giant aluminum penis that ejaculates foam all over the audience

Sonne
Haifisch - Flake gets on a raft, and surfs over the crowd
Ich Will

Engel - Till comes out with these giant metal angel wings with flame throwers at the tips

I can't picture Rammstein being rich. They spend all of their money on Fireworks, Fire, Babies and foam for giant cock canisters.

I wish Rammstein would come to Minnesota...oh well.

it would of been awesome to go to this, but I've seen them before, and Amon Amarth takes priority over them.

Just got home from the show....

What an amazing show!! Too bad there were a couple of "first night of the tour technical issues" though (Paul Landers' arm pyro not igniting, Till's left "wing" not igniting during "engel"), but still I cant say enough good things about this show!

24 hours on the road - time to crash and get ready for Deftones tonight!

Sick show! I was hoping they would rotate in some different songs like Rammstein, Mein Teil, Amerika or Stripped. But realistically, they can play whatever they want and I'll be happy.

During Haifisch when Flake was crowd surfing in the raft, some guy actually managed to jump up into the raft. Flake actually looked a bit terrified.

Pictures coming, will post later.

AGREED. I flew to New York City this past December for their show from Vegas, and I would be totally fine with the EXACT same show. It was perfect :D Though someday I do want to hear Stripped live  That'd be the ULTIMATE live song since Rammstein and Depeche Mode are my two favorites.

+1, I think the setlist will keep me home for this one, since the nearest place they are coming to me is Seattle which is a 7 hour each way drive. It looks like they are playing an awful lot of the new album, which is understandable but I didn't really like it. Would be an awesome spectacle though.

Sucks they didn't mix up the setlist at all, I was hoping for at least Amerika to be played. I was extremely disappointed the tour didn't swing by me (considering Rammstein is my absolute favorite band) but I am planning a trip to England for their best of tour next year.

Are there tickets still availiable for any dates? Chicago sold out long ago.

I'm not sure that this show (East Rutherford) was sold out. If not, then it was very very close.

I tried looking a few days ago to see if it was, and it just kept 'loading' a seat chart.

Stylesclash, thanks for putting that Rob Zombie/Slayer/Exodus date in your sig, I had no idea they were touring this year. Time for a road trip to Portland!

I hope your trip to England was already planned before this... driving 6 hours to this date would be a hell of a lot cheaper than flying 8-10 hours to England.

Question: how much were shirts/merch? What shirt designs were there? And I assume I should probably pick up a shirt real quick before I get my spot in the crowd because they'll probably be out at the end...

Thanks for the info!

FUCK. Seriously? I was expecting $30. Whatever, this is an extremely special tour, they can charge what they want and I'm gonna have to pay it.

Big bands usually charge a lot for shirts. Though the only tour shirts I've paid 40$ for was for Iron Maiden and Roger Waters when I saw him do the Wall.
I wouldn't consider Rammstein as big as either of them. :eyes:

these arenas all have staff, some union, some not, that take a cut of the merch they are selling. hence the higher prices. though, when the bands charge $65 plus for a hoodie, theyre just trying to milk us.

AnthG

$40 is high, but it's not uncommon, especially at arena shows. I've seen shirts be $40 at Metallica, Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson, and Korn when I saw 'em in 2003. It's not that surprising since even smaller shows have shirts for $30-$35 usually.

Tickets are still available on ticketmaster. Only single tickets tho. Dude, you can make it if you want to.

Look at my sig, bro. I was up at 10:00 in the morning refreshing my page constantly for 10 minutes to get a floor ticket, they sold out in about 12 seconds. And there's definitely no tickets left for Chicago, other than scalpers.

Some guy in front of me was complaining about spending $110 on this jacket/vest thing because he waited forever on the merch line and they ran out of everything before he got to the front, making him buy that.

I never even look at the merch for arena concerts because it is just ridiculous. Honestly, you could find the same crap at Target and Hot Topic for $10 most of the time too.

That means nothing. Ticketmaster routinely does NOT release all the tickets when they go on sale. When I checked for Rammstein tickets to the NJ show, it was "sold out". 2 days later - it wasn't - and I was in!

Plus a certain amount are allocated to radio stations, etc, and if they don't get used they get sold. I have had amazing luck buying tickets to "sold out" shows the day of a show - even a few hours before showtime. Often up front too. (I found out that's because when an act books into a venue way in advance of the show, they often don't know the exact dimensions of the stage. Once they get loaded in and set up, any unused space up front is quickly filled with seats and sold that day.

well sold out doesn't mean it's sold out. they do that to drive more attention to the show and drive tix higher on their sister sites. ticketmaster tends to release tickets day before and day of the show. or you can still go to the box office @ the venue and grab tickets, just get there early in line. or find someone selling them outside the venue.

plenty of ways to get tickets @ "sold out" shows.

+1, tickets are a total scam, don't ever believe that something is sold out. Keep checking, I got 7th row center to Rush last year about a month before the show when only lawn seats were allegedly available for the 3 months before that.
